Prologue

One ordinary day in London, a group of boys and girls are in a recording studio. The boys' tour begins soon, and everyone is quickly trying to record their last single before they set off. One 11-year-old girl watches in silence, smiling when her brother gives her a wink before he starts to sing. The girl smiles, playing with her hands. After her brother finishes, he leaves the booth, running over and pulling his sister into a hug before sitting down and setting her on his lap.

The two watch together as the other four boys sing their parts, pouring their hearts into their music. When they finish, they all come out and talk, enjoying the food and each other's company. One short boy with feathery brown hair says something to his curly-haired friend, making him angry. The two yell at each other for a while, throwing up their hands and threats until the little girl's brother has to step in. "STOP!!!" He yells, silencing the boys.

"I'm going to get some fresh air." The curly-headed boy grumbles, walking out of the room and the studio and onto the street. He walks off, leaving his four friends to go home.

"He'll be back, guys." The girl's brother, the leader, says. "He'll be... fine."
