[prelude]
hey everyone! thanks so much for clicking on this book. in fact, my first book, ever. i have stayed up until ridiculously early hours on school nights to delicately embroider my messy thoughts onto my journal then later to completely transfer them onto here. thank you, for giving my story a chance.

---
[discrete warning]
this story may contain, mild swearing, few sexual references, not-so-hot writing and awkward characters. words in this story will be spelled out the british way.

---

[epigraph]
"my heart doesn't like seeing her. maybe it's because every time i do,
i can never seem to breathe."

---

he's nothing but a player

the the nicest heartbreaker you'll ever meet

he'd be a nice guy, if he didn't go around so much.

---

[synopsis]
rowan had only seen penelope about a dozen times in the halls before.

she'd just been another indistinguishably face amongst the crowd, nothing particularly intriguing about her or worth remembering about her short silhouette or her deep green eyes that he'd ever seen, he wouldn't remember how to breath.

---

"how come the only time you pay attention is when it involves
her?"

"what if he stares at you every time you look away."

---

[dedication]
Water Will Run Out will reach out to anyone in different ways they can relate to my characters. most importantly, to you. you seem to have forgotten your standards when you fell low for a boy who's dignity was falling almost as much as you were for him. this is for you.

to all my close friends who have supported me unconditionally since i joined. sam, ananya, khunsa, aivy, elle and so many more. without all of you, this would have never happened. i love all of you so much.

---

[note]
i hope you will read more than just words on a screen. dig deeper, scratch harder and you will find real meaning in words. lowercase intended.

simply do yourself a favor. do not waste your time stealing my work. trust me, there are better things to do in your spare time, but if you go against my word... you won't get to live to tell your story. just a friendly reminder.
