Looking for salvation

A surprise birthday party

A week passed since their debut and they are busy with schedules that Joy doesn't even have time with Kira anymore. Meanwhile, Kira's flu has worsen that she's now having fever and a sore throat and yet, she refused to see the doctor.

They are in the company, practicing their choreography, which they already did so perfectly, Hyunil walked in. "Girls, come with me." Hyunil said, making them confused yet nervous at the same time. "We didn't do anything wrong, right?" Melody asked, fear evident in her tone. "Did we get the choreograph wrong?" Hadley wondered, afraid as well.

Once they reached a practice room, Hyunil opened the door and soon, party poppers could be heard. "Happy birthday!" They wished, shocking them. 'OMG! I forgot my own birthday!" Melody shouted, shocked, making them laugh. Staffs and all their seniors are gathered in the practice room and a cake is placed in the middle on a table. "We didn't know what you like so.. We hope you like this." One of the staff said as he passed Melody her present and she accepted. "You don't have to buy anything for me, really. And i'll like it since i like alot of things so don't worry." Melody said and they smiled.

After they sang birthday song, they started eating the cake. "You haven't met Untouchable sunbae, right?" Hyosung said and they nodded. "Meet Sleepy and D.Action oppa or sunbae." Hyosung said and they bowed to them and Untouchable just smiled. "Annyeonghaseyo, i'm Rina, in charge of rap." Rina introduced herself and they nodded. "I'm Melody and she's Hadley and we are both in charge of dancing." Melody said and they nodded. "Annyeonghaseyo, i'm Joy. In charge of vocals." Joy introduced and walked away after bowing. "Looking for Kira?" Rina asked as she walked to Joy. "So.. You are the birthday girl. Happy birthday." Sleepy said and Melody smiled. "We are huge fans of you and SECRET sunbae and also B.A.P sunbae." Hadley said and they smiled.

"How's your new dorm?" Sunhwa asked as she walked towards Hadley and Melody. "It's not too bad. But.. Sunbaenim's dorm is better" Melody said and they smiled. "Work harder and you'll be able to change your dorm too." Hana said and they nodded. "Oh yeah.. Joy mentioned Kira, right? Who's she?" D.Action asked, curious. "Oppa, she's also in the group but now, she's a composr, producer and lyricist." Sunhwa said and they nodded. "We'll get to meet each other then." Sleepy said and D.Action nodded.

"Where have you been?" They heard Joy asked and when they turned, they saw Kira walking in. Kira just looked at them and Joy sighed. "Is that.. Kira?" Sleepy asked and they nodded. "What happened?" Joy asked as she looked at her. "Care for a wine or beer?" Joy whispered and her best friend nodded. "I though you'd need this so.." Joy said as she passed her two cans of beer and she went backstage after showing her her thanks and Joy smiled. "Not staying for cake?" Rina asked and she just ignored her. "Hey Joy, why do you keep talking to her when you know that you are being ignored?" Melody asked and Joy just sighed and walked to a corner.

*She's drinking beer.. Something must've happened.* Joy thought as she looked out the window. Meanwhile, once Kira reached the roof, she looked at the night view while opening a can of beer and drank it, worsening her condition. *Joy really does know what i need. Thanks.. Best friend.* She thought as she downed the can in one shot and opened the other can. After downing the last can, her vision became blurry and when she breathed out, her throat hurts and her flu became worse while her fever became high fever. She staggered down the stairs and she accidentally slipped, tumbling down the stairs and when she finally stopped, her body is full of blood and bruises and her pen-knife dropped out of her hoodie pocket while she became unconscious.

*Oh shit! She have low alcohol tolerance!* Joy thought and hurriedly ran out, shocking the staffs and members. They followed her to the stairs to the roof and their eyes widen in shock while Joy kneeled down beside her, forcing her tears not to fall and let them see her weak side. "Someone call the ambulance!" The staffs shouted and manager Kang called an ambulance while the rest just stood behind Joy, froze to their spot as they are still processing what is going on.
