Last night I heard a loud thud from downstairs. Soo Mi ran into my room with tears staining on her cheeks as she hugged me. I couldn't take this anymore. So, I ran downstairs. I saw eomma crying on the floor with her hand covering her left cheek. I knew straight away that he slapped her. He's never been this violent when he's drunk and it was unbearable to see eomma whimpering on the floor like that. I helped her up but appa slapped me across the face and dragged eomma into the empty room.
I could hear her screaming inside, begging for mercy. I bang the door, begging him to stop but her scream began to increase. Calling the cops wasn't an option. I love appa and I couldn't turn him in.
