The girl sat in my chair, her slender legs draped over the armrest. Her hair was blonde and her eyes were gold, fitting in perfectly with her lean and olive coloured body.

"Axsel dearest! How long has it been since I last saw you? A century? Two?" She asked, examining her nails.

"86 years actually," I said.

"You've aged nicely for a ten century old vampire, really you have," she said, standing up.

She wore a short skirt and tight top, her hair falling over her shoulder perfectly.

"Enough games Samantha. Where's Raeden?" I asked, taking a step forward.

"Raeden? Oh, the sweet girl who was living here? She is a darling. Didn't quite cooperate when we took her, but she was obedient after some - ah- force was applied," Samantha said, grinning at me.

"What did you do to her?" I growled.

"Axsel dearest, I did nothing to her. Dante simply invited her back to where she belongs."

"She belongs far away from him. Return her and no one will get hurt," I said.

"Oh no no no. Axsel honey, you knew this was coming. This is revenge for Annette. Remember her? She was delightful. Until of course, she met you," Samantha laughed.

"This is what this is about? Annette? She died centuries ago," I said, stopping as she sat back down.

She propped her head up with her elbow on the armrest. "She died because you got jealous. Dante is still...bitter about it. He did love the women after all," she sighed.

"Dante only wanted her for the power," I snapped.

"Dante wanted her for both power and love," Samantha grinned.

"I saved her."

"You took her away from her mate. That killed her. Dante is just returning the favour. I wanted to wait a little longer. Wait for you to fall in love with the bitch, but alas time was running out. Such things cannot be avoided Axsel. Surely when you claimed her, you realised this," she laughed.

"Where is she Samantha?" I asked, grabbing her by the front of her shirt and lifting her slightly off the ground.

"Far away from you Axsel. Somewhere you'll never find her. Somewhere Dante can do whatever he wants with her," she spat.

"You'll pay for this," I said, throwing her across the room. She hit the wall with a thump and grinned at me with a trail of blood coming out of her nose.

I blurred and stood before her, lifting her off the ground again.

"I may pay for this in broken bones, but you Axsel...you'll lose everything. Your power, your palace, your love. Ha!" she laughed madly.

"Axsel! What happened? We heard yelling and..." Lucas trailed off as he caught sight of Samantha.

"What's she doing her?" Migael snarled.

"Migael Honey! Is that anyway to talk to a long lost friend?" Samantha asked.

"No but it's the way to talk to a two timing bitch," Damon said, swearing for the first time.

"Such a vulgar tongue Damon! I hope the twins aren't picking up on your bad habits?" She grinned.

"We shall not help you Samantha," Clyde said.

"If anything, we shall help bring your demise, Samantha," Claude said.

"Come on boys! Surely one of you realises I don't deserve this!" she said, growing desperate.

"Lock her in a cell. We can use her for later," I said, throwing her at Lucas' feet.

Lucas nodded and picked her up, dragging her away.

"For now," I said, sitting down,"We go to war. And we win."
