Thomas ran inside the emergency room, and was swarmed by people. They placed her down on  a gurney, and rushed her into a room. Thomas began running after them, but was ambushed by a man handing him a clip board. Thomas sighed, and began to fill it out. He finished, and handed the form to the lady at the desk. Then it occurred to him. Her parents thought their daughter was on her way home. He stood up, and ran about looking for a pay phone. When he finally found one it was-

"OUT OF ORDER!?" he was getting frustrated. They wouldn't let him in the room with his girlfriend, nor could he call anyone to tell them where they were. Then it occurred to him. He has a cell phone. He pulled it out, and dialed his home phone number.

"Hello?" His mum's voice asked.

"Hello, Mum, I'm at the hospital." He said.

"Why?" She asked, "Are you alright? Is Irene alright?" She added hurriedly.

"I'm fine, Irene though..."  He started, "They don't know yet." She gasped.

"I'm on my way. Ava, Lets go."  She said, "Have you called her parents yet?" She asked.

"No, I haven't the chance, I'm going to though." Thomas said goodbye to her, and they hung up. He punched in the number very slowly. As soon as he typed in the last nine, he sniffled and hit the 'call' button.

"Hello?" Irene's Father asked.

"Hello, it's Thomas, Irene's boyfriend." He said.

"And what have you done to her?" He asked, "Have you kidnapped her, and now you're asking for a ransom?" The man got impatient.

"NO!" Thomas yelled, "I would never hurt her! But she has fallen quite ill, and you're badgering me on whether or not I kidnapped her?!" Thomas was angry at him, "I just might've saved her life, and all you can think about is just how bad I might be! Well, you, sir," He sneered, "You should just be glad someone cares about your daughter! You clearly don't!" Thomas hung up the phone, and was soon approached by a nurse.

"Are you Mr. Sangster?" She asked. Thomas nodded, "Well, good, I think you can see Ms. Irene Fitch now." She was American, "And if you need anything, just ask for Shorty," She bit her lip, and handed him a piece of paper. Room 707  Thomas sighed, and thought he might as well go on up. As he opened the door he saw Irene hooked up to all the machines, and weak.

"Hello?" Thomas asked.

"Yes?" She asked, "Oh, jeez, another doctor?" She asked.

"No, I'm Thomas, your Boyfriend," He said confused

"Uh, I think I'd remember having a boyfriend!" She said, "Right?" She asked.

"Obviously not," He said, "I carried you here, I was gonna propose!" Thomas said pulling a ring out of his pocket. She gasped.

"I must've been very special to you." She said with pity in her voice.

"Yeah, you were the love of my life, Still are!" He said, "We've been dating for five months!" Thomas sat down, and held his face in his hands, "I called your parents, they should be here soon. Do you want me to leave?" He asked. He realized that as soon as he said it what the answer was gonna be. He sighed, and got up. He placed the ring on the bedside table, and left the room.

"THOMAS!" His mother yelled running to his aid. He was trying to hold in his tears, but his heart had literally be ripped from him, "What happened?" She asked.

"She didn't Die did she?" Ava asked. Her mother shushed her.

"No, worse," He sighed, "She doesn't know who I am." Thomas bit his lip, and stood up.

"I'm gonna go home," He said, "I'll see you guys there," He picked up his coat, and walked out the door.

As he walked down the street, he ran into her parents.

"YOU!" her father, Frank yelled, "WHAT'RE YOU DOING?! ARE YOU LEAVING MY DAUGHTER?!" He yelled coming at Thomas.

"NO! She doesn't remember me, I'm going home." Thomas never knew the kind of hate he felt toward her father until Frank started pushing his buttons. Thomas kept walking. He soon made it to the park where he had left his car, and he tried to turn it on. Suddenly it came to life, and he went home.

"Thomas? Is that you?" His mother called.

"Yeah, I'm just gonna go up to bed, I'm a bit tired." He said dropping his coat, and walking up the stairs. He opened the door to his room, and began throwing away all the things that had to do with her. There were a couple things he couldn't bare to part with like his drawings of her. They were the best drawings he'd done in a while. He instead folded them neatly in a drawer.

He sat down, and looked out his window, and saw his old friend, Primrose. Though she had been away for schooling Thomas was sure she hadn't changed much. When she left she was all tomboyish, and rough around the edges.

Thomas climbed out his window, and into the tree that always was rather close to his room. He ran over to her yard.

"Prim!" He called. She looked up, and arched her back.

"Thomas?" She asked kind of snobbishly, "What do you want?" She asked.

"I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out...?" Thomas said, he wasn't sure why she was acting like this.

"No!" She yelled, and looked back at her mum who was walking in the house, "OH PLEASE!" She said her frame fell, and she tackled him in a hug.

"It's good to see you again!" Thomas chuckled. She suddenly started taking off all the jewelry she had on.

"My mom thinks I'm a snob! And she's encouraging it!" She sighed.

"Rose, are you coming?" Her mother whined out the door.

"No mom, I'm staying out," She said in her fake voice. She threw her jewelry in a nearby bush, and we walked off, "Boy we have a lot to catch up on!" She laughed slinging an arm around Thomas.
