Dad: Ji, sub teek hai! (Yes, everything is alright!)
*1 hour conversation*
*Everyone is looking at me like I'm a foreigner from my own country*
Dad: -Acha, to discount hai? (-Okay, so is there a discount?)
*I look very intensely at the shop keeper and I feel like he's going to say no*
Shop Keeper: Kyu nahi? Mein tujhe se free se dehdo (Why not? I will give you it for free)
*WHAT THE ACTUAL BLAHHDNFNRHDHCND*
Whereas if my mom did this (Lol, my dad actually taught my mom, how sweet is that XD)
Mom: Can I have that shawl?
Shop Keeper: Sure!
Mom: I want to buy this
*Shop Keeper packs it in the bag while my mom whispering to me*
Mom: Shall I ask for a discount?
Me: I don't know...what would dad do?
Mom: Am discount season hai, to discount dehdo?
Shop Keeper: Bari expensive se cheez hai aur tu discount manglia? (This is very expensive stuff and you want a discount still as well?
*My mom and I exchange a look*
*Leaves the shop*
Me: I don't understand something
Mom: What?
Me: How comes it works for Dad?
Mom: He was born to get free things but also likes to spend money lavishly
