Life changed for me that day. All I can do is thank the love of my life, Genesis. Guardians have a few set of rules they are forced to follow. One of the biggest rules besides the obvious, "Do not harm the god or goddess in any way", is "A guardian is NEVER permitted to fall in love with their god or goddess under any circumstance." Not following this rule could result in removal from the god or goddess and banishment.
Genesis and I hit it off quickly and fell in love. I broke the rules just to be with her and hide away from anyway of being discovered.
Her body stirs in bed close to my chest as she rolls over. Her soft breath moves her body up and down gently. I push the hair out of her face to see her. My sleeping beauty and she was totally worth it. I kissed the top of her head, careful not to wake her. I pulled her close to my chest and dozed off with our hearts beating as one...
I guess I could just write a book of my role as a guardian. I think I'll title it...
