Alexis' P.O.V.
The next morning, I woke up and looked at the clock.
It was nearly noon.
Lily's plan had worked!
Happiness flooded throughout me as I settled back into bed.
"Hmmm, what is it?" Carter murmured from beside me.
Instead of responding, I pressed my lips to his.
He stiffened for a moment, but he soon wrapped his arms around me.
He pulled away a few seconds later, and I let out a sound of protest.
"Good morning to you too," he chuckled, and I scowled at him.
"Oh get that pout off your pretty little face," he teased.
"No," I scowled.
"Well we are just gonna have to fix that aren't we?" He mused.
I nodded my head seriously.
"Come here," he invited, opening his arms.
A grin lit up my face, and I crawled across the large bed into his arms.
He wrapped them around me then kissed the top of my head.
"Sorry to wake you," I apologized.
"Oh you can wake me up whenever you want if you do it like that," he teased.
I blushed.
My back was to him, and I could feel his chest rumble with the laugh.
"Hmmm, I think that can be arranged," I agreed.
"Good, what time is it? I know you were looking at the clock. Trying to escape me?" He asked.
"No!" I exclaimed roughly.
"Calm down Lexi, I'm kidding," he ran his hand through my hair.
"It's almost noon, and that's not funny," I pouted again.
He zoned out for a moment then right back in.
"Dennis is covering alpha duties, so we can take our time," he informed me.
My face lit up in an even bigger grin.
"I love sleep," I sighed.
"It feels nice, doesn't it?" He chuckled.
I nodded in agreement.
"Can I go home?" I asked.
His body stiffened immediately.
"No, not forever. Remember, I just need some clothes," I assured him,"we'll go for a few minutes then come right back,"
He relaxed, and I shifted so I was facing him.
"You are really freaky outy right now," I informed him sweetly.
Rolling his eyes, he pressed his lips to my forehead.
"Only for you,"
I laughed.
"I bet you say that to all the girls," I teased.
His eyes suddenly changed colors.
"There is no one else," he growled.
"I know, I know, I'm just teasing," I assured him.
"Well stop it," he scowled.
"Or na," I shrugged.
Sighing, I rolled over the top of him.
