Alexis' P.O.V.

"Be unemotional," I commanded myself.

Within an instant, my barriers are up.

"Awww, you remember," I cooed, "how sweet,"

Carter looked at me like I'd lost it.

"Of course, Alexis Silaret, September 7th, 2311, in the forest a mile from your home," he grinned sinisterly.

"Kaaaay, that's just creepy," I informed him, stepping up, so we were nearly touching.

"You don't remember who, when, where?" He asked.

"Well of course I do, I'm not the one who's raped God knows how many people," I shrugged.

"Aw, I'm your first and only," he chuckled, "I'm surprised hotshot over there hasn't done you yet,"

"So am I," I replied,and I felt Carter's confusion and surprise.

"She's a lot of fun," he turned his attention to Carter, "trust me,"

Within a split second, I pulled out my taser.

I pressed the button and touched his leg.

He grit his jaw to keep from yelling out in pain.

I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me feel a little bit better.

"We are going to have a nice long chat," I informed him, leaning in to the point that his breath fanned.

"Then let's talk," he replied a bit later, "I've got time,"

"Carter, out," I demanded, "I'm talking to him alone,"

"What, no!" he exclaimed, "why the hell would you want me to do that?"

"Because the rage is coming off of you in waves, and I don't want you killing him,"
I explained.

"Touching," Blake scoffed quietly.

"Sh!" I snapped.

Reluctantly, Carter left from the room.

He slammed the door furiously behind him.

"Hm, grumpy," Blake mused after him.

"Still like the sound of your own voice Currit?" I chuckled humorlessly.

I walked around him and unlocked the chains on his wrists.

"Who wouldn't?" He asked.

"Me," I rolled my eyes.

"Hits me right here Lexi," he frowned pointing to his chest.

The name seemed foreign coming from his mouth.

I scoffed.

"Please, you and I both know you don't have a heart," I reminded him.

"Hmmm, true," he nodded, "are you going to get the chains on my ankles?"

I turned another chair and sat in it, so my legs were on either side of the back.

"No, now why are you here?" I asked him.

"What does it matter?" He asked.

"Because I know you Matthew, you wouldn't have come here just to attack me and another innocent girl," I sighed, rubbing the bridge of my nose.

His smug persona changed when I called him Matthew.

"It's been years since you called me that, why now?" He asked bitterly.
