You and Steve had been dating for two years already but in secret. You two knew that if anyone knew if you guys were dating, then they, Hydra, would use both of you to get the other one. Steve always protected you and you loved him, in secret. But the bad thing, the other Avengers didn't know you were and, they were always trying to get you two together.

Nat, Wanda, Pepper, and you were out at the mall, having some girls time when a man about 3 years older than came up to you. He smiled and said, "Did it hurt?" You rolled your eyes, "No, because I climbed up from hell. Get lost, lover boy, I ain't interested." He frowned and moved off to try it on some other girl. Wanda watched as I walked away from the food court.

"Damn Y/N, that was harsh. I mean you could have given him a chance. He was kinda cute." Nat said to my back as I pulled a long sleeve top off a rack. I turned to Nat and held up the blue top, "Nat, I said I wasn't interested. Now, what about this plus my black jeans?" She shook her head, "What about you and Steve? Now that's a match made in heaven." You laughed and said, "Nat, you know how I feel about dating someone on the same team as us. It's hectic." Nat sighed and said, "Your loss."

Wanda lifted up a red mini skirt with two pockets in the back. She tilted her head and asked, "Would Vision even like this?" Pepper grabbed it out of her hands and examined it.

"Would Clint or Cap even let you wear it in front of them?" I giggled as I grabbed a pair of black leggings. I find a white tank top with a delicate X figure in the back. I went into the changing room and walked out. Nat gave a thumbs up, Pepper smiled and Wanda gave me a jean jacket to put on with it. I slide my arms into it and looked at myself in the mirror. I nodded as I posed, "I'll take it." Nat holds up a credit card and says, "'Use it wisely,' Tony said." I smirk, "Tony doesn't need to know." After changing out, I pay for the outfit.

Nat, Wanda, Pepper, and you were all back at the tower with bags of clothes, shoes, new purses, and other things. You headed to my room and started to lay out the outfit you just got. You reached into your bag and pulled out the necklace and bracelet you bought. A silver chain with a diamond and silver infinity sign. You clipped it around your neck, admiring yourself--

RING!!

You jumped, immediately in your fighting stance. You sigh seeing that it was only your phone ringing. You scoop up your phone and answer.

"Hello?" The line strains before a voice says, "L/N, I need to talk to you about a new mission in the conference room." You smile and place your phone on your shoulder to use your hands, "Of course, Nick. Be right there." Fury hangs up and you slide your flip flops on and walk to the elevator. You text Steve saying, 'Fury needs to talk to me about a mission. Can the date wait?' You walk out of the elevator as Steve replies, 'Sure, doll. Just remember don't tell him anything about this.' You send a quick gotcha before entering the room. Nick stands up and outstretches his hand to shake yours.

"Congrats Y/N. Didn't think you would ever have a boyfriend, for two years without me knowing." Fury stated, a smirk evident on his face. You stood there, mouth open before denying.

"What are you talking about? Me dating? Nick that's so absurd!" You said trying to sound convincing. He laughed, stopping you with his hand. You shut your mouth and asked, "How did you find out?" He smiled, "I've noticed how you and Cap act around each other. Don't think I don't know what you to do on assigned missions." You hung my head and said "If you don't want me to date Cap, it's fine. I'll explain it to--"

"No Y/N, I'm glad Cap found you. About the mission, go on a date with the man. Go somewhere super nice and have some fun, I'll tell the others that you and he are on an undercover mission as a couple of friends at a bar." You stared at the man in front of you. You grabbed his hand, "Nick, are you feeling okay?"

"Damn sure! Now go tell Cap to move his ass and get ready." You smiled at him and took off down the hall. You speed dialed Steve and said as he answered, "Get out that suit, babe. Fury's got a mission for us."

You and Steve went to a small restaurant named the Walnut Grill. You two were all dressed up and once you two got to the table, Steve asked, "What's the mission, doll?" You smiled and said, "Fury found out." Steve's eyes went wide and you giggled, "He wanted us to have a nice evening together. He said it was a mission so no one else would find out." Steve laughed and said, "This mission must be easy then." He smirked and lifted his glass of wine, "To Fury, the man that made this happen." You echoed him and sipped on your wine.

Two hours later, Steve and you were walking through the park at 7 o'clock. You were in Steve's embrace and leaned into his shoulder. He guided you to a bench and both of you sat down. He kissed your forehead as you sighed happily.

"We haven't been on a date like that in years." Steve smiled against your head as you slowed your breathing. You told each other about how Natasha tried to set you two up and that Sam and Tony pressured him to ask you out. You two loved to tell each other about what the others do to get you together. It was your thing. You sat there and just held each other before you two walked back to the tower. You had an apartment and used it for missions and family things. You stopped and stood on your tiptoes before whispering, "My old apartments empty. Why don't we go there and have some fun that we missed out on for too long?" He paused his breathing before kissing your neck, "I'd like that."

You made it to your old apartment and texted Nick that you two were at your old apartment, so he didn't have to send a search party. Let's say, you two had a heated makeout time.

Knock, knock!

You opened your eyes and remembered what happened last night and smiled. Another knock on the door came and you threw Steve's shirt on and some old volleyball shorts on. You trudged to the door as another set of knocks came.

"I'm coming, I'm coming. Chill out." You unlocked the door to see the rest of the Avengers there. You rubbed your eyes and said, "What do you all need? I was trying to sleep." Nat looks at your exposed neck, bruises running up and down your collarbone and neck. Your eyes widen as you grab Steve's shirt and pull it up.

"You, you, you--" Nat starts but Tony interrupts, "Is that Steve's shirt?" You flush as Pepper shouts, "You're dating Steve!" You gulp but a hand grips your waist, pulling you into him.

"You guys finally found out," Steve replies, hands still around your waist. Sam touches his hand to his chest and says, "You didn't even tell me. Man, that just hurts." Bruce nervously asks, "Could we come in to finish this conversation?" You nod and move out of the way, letting them inside. Your friends sat on the couch and chairs in the living room. You and Steve stood up in silence until Nat asked, "How long?"

"Two years." Her eyes are wide and Clint says, "And you were able to keep that from us for that long." You nod and Tony blurts, "So you were dating Capsicle for a while and didn't care to tell us?" Steve nods, "We didn't know how you guys would take it." Bruce questions, "Does Fury know?"

"Yeah, he found out yesterday. He planned the 'mission' for us and we came back here." They nodded before Sam blurts, "So both of you two let us try to get you guys together and just denied. Not cool, guys, not cool." You giggled and explained that the two of you always shared stories about what they, the Avengers, did to get you both together. You all talked before Tony ruined it.

"So you dating Capsicle for two years and he actually got some action?" You all groaned as Pepper slapped Tony and scolded him.
