Millard sat invisible next to the drivers of the carriage. They seemed oblivious to the fact that their captives had just escaped. Millard listened to their conversations and stayed quiet the whole time until something interesting came up.
"So, what does the boss want with these peculiars?" One of them said.
"Something about the elements of life, I wasn't really listening during the briefings." The other one replied.
"So, he's sucking out peculiar soul, again?"
"Basically. That's what I thought as well. Dude needs to get more original ideas."
"It's been done before."
"Yes, but this time actually does come with immortality."
"What?"
"Yea, because he can control the whole balance of life with those peculiarities."
"What do we get out of it?"
"A pay check and hopefully, loyalty to stay alive."
"Huh, Anyway, did you hear about Beatrice..."
Millard tuned out again but was still mildly incredulous of Caul's plans. So, he jumped out the window with agility and raced off to get to the girls.

"Hmm, there is someone." I mumbled as an idea flashed into my head. I carefully pulled out a scrunched up piece of paper from my pocket and dialed the number. After a few rings, the person picked up.
"Hello, Saffron speaking."
