It was just another day

People's phones were buzzing

Little kids were running

It seemed like such a normal day

Though no one knew what was in store for them that day

The sound of a gun, was the first to be heard

Sending the entire building into a screaming hurd

Kids ran

Adults tried to think of a plan

More shots were taken

Everyone thought they were mistaken

A man in black came in

Who only wore a grin

A shout of protest came from an adult

A shot to the heart was the result

The little kids screamed

As the man with the grin beamed

A little girl cried out

But was shoved with a shout

The man started barking orders

Making the kids think he might have some type of disorder

A teacher stepped forward

Not at all feeling cornered

Her voice was sweet and soft

But he only scoffed

She pleaded for him to leave the kids alone

But was only thrown

The kids all coward in a corner

Realizing this was all a horror

Brave little boys tried to be strong for the girls

As their hair bounced in shaking twirls

Teachers became afraid

As the man brought out a blade

One little girl couldn't hold it in anymore

A cry left her lips just before

In blur the blade was thrown

And tore right through her bone

The girl cried out again

As she fought through the pain

It was several minutes later

When the man tore through everybody with his razor

A boy couldn't take it

And had his throat slit

The man simply smiled

At the weak little child

No one had a say

But could only wish It Was Just Another Day
