The first date Jack and I ever went on was when I was twelve, and it just so happened to be the worst one yet. It was a double date with Sebastian and Georgia Nickles — I honestly don't know how them two didn't last, they were both as bad as each other.

We went to a local cafe. It was innocent and any twelve year olds' dream date. To have a good looking 14 year old 'gentleman' buy you anything you'd like for the date and pulling out your chair – as the popular kids the table over gawked –  it was like walking on cloud nine. I had dressed up in the nicest clothes I owned and Izzy gave me a thumbs up to get to know Jack.

With a childhood so fucked up, I never dreamed of being as happy as I was in that moment, sitting down next to Jack as he showed me off proudly. Up until that moment I thought the only happiness I had was ruffling through my coffee table to try and find Mum's cigarettes so I could feed the habit.

The date was going amazing. I stopped seeing Jack as just my best friends brother. I saw him as an angel sent from heaven that I loved, in my little twelve year old brain at least. Everything was perfect, until Sebastian decided to be a little cunt. But what's new?

Back then, Sebastian was always just Jack's best friend. I thought he was nice even though he didn't like me, and I made sure to be nice to him. We both knew he just didn't like me because I came from the wrong side of town and he thought even back then that I would drag Jack down. Just minutes later I found out how much he didn't like me.

He spilled my own milkshake all over me, all in my hair and down my clothes, saying that girls like me shouldn't be hanging around people like them.

Of course, me being me, threw my drink all over him, but it was too late. He just laughed at me and called me a psycho as everyone joined along with him.

We've never been the biggest fan of each other since, but he's just always hated me.

You can only imagine how surprised I was when I gave Jack a call and asked him to pick me up and Sebastian showed up in Jack's car at the end of my street instead.

I walked over to the car as my shirt rubbed against my open wound making me hiss. I offered a small smile, opening the door and getting in the passenger seat. "Hey. " I tried to keep my voice as even as possible, not wanting to give away to him that I had had my waterworks on full blast just moments ago. Once I'm in and belted up, he starts the car.

"It's just a favour to Jack, I had his car, and he's busy at his house, so where else do you want to go?." Sebastian's voice broke the silence. He looked at me before he turned his eyes back to the road as if curious to see my reaction. Suddenly it clicks. That sort of busy. Busy getting his dick wet.

I just shrug like it's not big deal, I do that sort of stuff too.

"Why'd you need him to pick you up anyway?"

I opened my mouth, ready to talk before I just bit the inside of my cheek. I told Jack what happened and he was with a girl when I was crying to him. I'm such a fucking idiot.

I just shrug and put on a smirk, "Can't a girl want dick, if he's so busy, just take me to there to see Izzy, yeah?" I tried to sound as ineffectual by his words as I could.

"You were having a cry because you wanted dick?" His voice was laced with anything but concern.

"Sure was." I pulled my sleeves down over my hands, crossing my arms over my belly.

He grabs a towel from the back of Jack's car  while driving, smelling it before shrugging and handing it to me. "Your heads bleeding. Clean up what you can with that until we get back to mine. I don't even want to know what you got yourself in-"

A phone ringing cut him off and he automatically he reached for it, looking down at the caller ID before he answered , continuing to drive one-handed. I listened into his phone call, although there was no point even trying to make sense of the muffled noises on the other side of the call.

"I'm driving now. Are you okay?" He made a quick turn down a street, speeding up a tad.

"What'd he do?" His knuckles gripped on the steering wheel as the person on the other line talked.

"Coming now."

We soon pulled up in front of a nice two-story house, the garden was neat and the house was white, it was pretty much the classic white picket fence house.

I looked from him to the house, curiosity taking over me.

I go to unbuckle my seat belt when he unbuckled his, but just as my hand grazed the button, he opened the door and looks at me like I'm stupid. "Wait here."

20 minutes later, I'm still in the car, and I was fairly I'd bleed out before he was back, yeah maybe I'm a tad dramatic.

The comotion in the house had my curiosity growing more, though.

Soon enough the front door with a gold '16' on it opened, and out came Sebastian with a little girl clutching his hand tight in her right hand, and a teddy bear tighter in the left one. The girl who opened the door stood there, saying something quietly to Sebastian as she looked to the car, noticing me.

Sebastian and the little girl walked towards the car. He takes the giant pink bag off of her and carries it, which looks from the distance to have a Minnie Mouse design on the front, before he helped her get in the car.

"Where's my car seat?" She looked up at him, eyes filled with curiosity and he helped her do her seat belt up and tightened it as much as he can.

"You get to ride in the normal seat. Just don't tell anyone." He whispered loudly and she smiles, causing dimples to form in her cheeks, before she nodded happily.

Sebastian being nice? Maybe being sober made me loopy.

I couldn't help but sneak a look into the backseat and smiled at how cute she was, although her face was puffier than even mine as she hugged onto her bear, hiccuping.

"But what about her?" Soon enough they both looked right at me and I realised that they knew I was staring and listening to their little conversation.

"I'm Aubrey, don't worry, I won't tell anyone your secret," she grinned at my words. "What's your name?" I couldn't help but smile at her, her cuteness making my cheeks ache.

"I'm Marley." She said with confidence, between hiccups, holding out her hand for me to shake, which made my smile grow even wider.

"Nice to meet you Marley." I shook her hand back.

Sebastian ruffled Marley's hair, before he closed her door and hopped back in the drivers seat, starting the car as he drove out of the driveway. He drove with one hand, and I glanced over at his knuckles clutching the steering wheel with what I assumed was anger once again.
