Chapter 5: The encounter.

After riding for a bit
I feel us come to a stop and get off Richie's bike.
I look up and I see everyone getting on their bikes.
"Hey." I whisper.
Bev looks at me confused.
"We are talking later." She points her finger at me.
I just nod and walk up to Stanley.
"Can we talk? Alone." I say determinedly.
He looks at me then at Richie.
"Yeah." He says still looking at Richie as we walk away.
I look back at Richie and he seems very upset.
He takes his finger up to his neck and drags it across to the other side.
I laugh nervously and give him a serious look assuring him that I will be okay.
He stares at me and then gives me a defeated smile.
After I turn back around and look at Stanley and then take a deep breath.
"I'm so sorry, Stan. You are an amazing person and a great friend. I am flattered that you've noticed me since I moved to your school, but I like Richie." I apologize.
He looks down.
"I know." He whispers.
A huge flush of sadness fills me.
I put my hand on his shoulder and he grabs it and kisses it softly.
I blush and feel hands wrap around my waist and pull me back away from Stan.
"Alright, that's enough." Richie says glaring at Stanley.
I laugh and look at Stanley.
"I accept your apology, and I also want to apologize about coming at you strongly."
He says finally.
"Yeah, You better be." Richie says still holding me and shush him.
"It's okay." I say smiling.
Then Stanley walks right next to Richie and whispers
"Take care of her because if you don't, I might just steal her from you."
And he walks away.
I hold his warm hand

And walk back to everyone.
"So, let's go to Ben's shall we?" I say.
"How did you know?" Ben said with a confused look.
"Psychic." I whisper pointing at my head before walking and
hopping onto the back of Richie's bike.

-at Ben's place-

"Woah, woah, woah, wow!" Richie says amazed
"Cool, huh?" Ben says confidently.
"No, nothing cool. There's nothing cool. Well this is cool, wait, no it's not." Richie says
I laugh and ask "Hey can I use your bathroom?"
"Yeah, just walk down the hall then make a left." Ben replies
I thank him and make my way to the bathroom.
When I walk in I see that his tub is filled completely with water.
I stare at it for a long time.
I shouldn't touch anything.
I do my business and turn on the faucet to wash my hands but blood comes out covering my hands in it. I fall to the ground and look at my bloody trembling hands.

Then I go and dip them in the tub filled with water and try washing it off when something grabs me and pulls my into the tub.
Then when I open my eyes I'm somewhere else. I'm at the bottom of the quarry.
In the lake. I try swimming to the top but something grabs my leg and starts dragging me down lower and lower I can barely see the light now.
-knock-
"Y/N?" Beverly's muffled voice.
I hear a door open and I open my eyes and burst up from the tub

They walk in, see me in the tub and run to me take me out and put a towel on me.
"What happened? Are you okay?!" asked Richie
"Why are you in the tub with your clothes?" Eddie asks after
"D-did you see the clown?" Billy asks and I looked at him so quick.
"You did." He whispers.
I didn't even realize. I completely forgot about pennywise in this movie.
That's wasn't my first encounter with him either.
It was at the quarry.
I feel a warm hand rest on my cheek.
"Richie." I whisper and start crying.
Beverly quickly hugs me and walks out the door saying
"Come on boys, give them some space." Before leaving out of sight.
Billy touches my shoulder and walks out.
Eddie waves at me.
Ben pats me on the head.
And Stanley hugs and kisses me on the forehead.
After everyone leaves
I stare at Richie for the longest time and then I kiss him roughly.
As if he was water,
and I have been dehydrated for 2 days.
He kissed me back and broke the kiss because he was worried about me.
"I saw the clown, Richie." I say with a trembling voice.
He stares at me until I tell him to stop
Pennywise.
