All alone I sit and think
I have nothing to do, I can't sleep a wink
My sound is gone
Though I can still hear the songThe song of the wind as it brushes past
With the rustling of the shaking leaves
I hear it all too clearly
Though it doesn't lastThe moon is out
It shines so bright
Even behind those clouds
On this silent nightI want to laugh
I want to dream
I need to have
Someone who sees meOn this night
Where the moon hangs high
I wish to lay beneath those stars
I wish for this with all my heartI want to run
To laugh and play
I want to have fun
Each and EverydayIs it too much to ask?
To want to smile
If you give me an inch
I might just take a mileI want for my sound to fill the air
My voice no longer works
It can't compareNow I try
To shut my eyes
Please let me sleep
On my silent night
