You say Black Sun, I think of a dead, burned out sun. But when you really think about a solar eclipse, you see a sun with something blocking it thus casting a shadow. Blake's semblance is shadows, and Sun is called... Well, Sun.
Sun plus shadow equals solar eclipse. Boom!
