The first task given to Keiji was to stake-out their enemy, which was apparently another gang called The Purple Hyenas, and collect some intel with the fluorescent red blob guy who's name was Reyd Dome. They were both on top of a building and looking out below to where they knew the gang hung out. Keiji was perched in a crouching position on the small wall of brick that lined the roof while Reyd Dome stood some ways to the side of him, behind the 5 brick high wall and also looking down, occasionally scanning around them just incase.
"You can stop scanning, no one's able to get us," Keiji said out of nowhere, breaking the hour of silence between them. "How do you know?" Reyd Dome retorted. Keiji turned his head to him, facing directly at him like he was looking at him through the thick red blindfold wrapped over his eyes. "Vibration. Plus anyone who looks at where we are can't see us because I'm making it seem like no one is on this roof." With that, Keiji whipped his head back to where it previously was. Reyd Dome grunted and looked forward 'Why'd we decide to hire this kid again?'
It has already been hours since they began their stake-out and Keiji was getting agitated. He wanted to do something, he needed to. When he had tried to converse with the gang member, he would always somehow shut the start or a conversation down. In the end he said to shut-up and now Keiji was left to his head. Using his quirk, Keiji convinced himself that he was content with the situation and that it had only been a couple minutes into the stake-out.
A couple minutes turned into another hour. And another. Aparently Reyd Dome couldn't take it anymore and voiced his complaints, "It's been hours and it's almost morning! When the hell are they going to show up?" "Chill dude, it's only been about 2 hours-" "2 hours?!" Reyd Dome announced, not sleeping making him cranky, "It's been about 10 hours!" "Well those 8 hours must've been pretty boring because I don't remember it all. Anyways, they've been here for a while now."
"They're already here? For how long?" Keiji hummed feignedly in thought, "I'd say... maybe... about- I don't know I'm not too sure- but maaayyybeeeee.... About a half hour now." Keiji was looking at Reyd Dome. Reyd Dome's expression, not like he had much of one, panned out into something unreadable, but his first was clenching very tightly.
Keiji smiled, "I'm just kidding dude." He whipped his head back down while smiling and chuckling a bit to himself. Reyd Dome was still tense and a bit pissed but sighed in a somewhat relieved way.
"Oh! There's the hyenas!" Reyd Dome passed over and looked down to where Keiji was pointing. "Finally. Let's go," Reyd Dome said in urgency but Keiji had plans to play around and make him even more miserable. "Ehh... yea, you go do that, I'll meet you there." He fell for it. "Are you seriou-," Reyd Dome paused to sigh harshly, "I can't take this. Sure. See you there. Jackass..."
After the gang member was gone, Keiji looked down and stood up and giggled. 'And now, after 2 strikes, get ready for the punchline." Keiji used his quirk to create a pole and make it solid. He then held on and slid down to the ground like a fireman, the pole disappearing after it's use already had been needed. He walked over to the door The Purple Hyenas entered and entered.
The inside of the place was completely made out of concrete with shattered glass littering the floor and some still wedged in the window frames. One the walls were random bits of neon graffiti and with nails: pictures and cloth. There was some still functioning furniture among the others that were broken and they were currently being used by the Hyenas. Keiji waltzed around him, his quirk making them think him nonexistent.
He went up to some of the gang members and looked them up and down and making sure to take in every detail. The wrinkles, the stains, the sound the clothing made when being moved, the little designs and stitching, plus the smell. He even made sure to study the person's face and how it contorted, what type of muscle structure they had, their voice and their behavior and relations between others. After all, he can't impersonate them if he doesn't know anything about them.
Just then the door he entered creaked open. Keiji had been expecting this, making the Hyenas not hear the entrance of Reyd Dome. And the punchline: he froze upon seeing Keiji who was still observing the gang members. Reyd Dome continued in, not going to ask anything and just chalking it up to the brat's quirk. But he did have one question though: "What are you doing?"
"What does it look like?"
Reyd Dome paused. So the gang wasn't conscious of them, he figured. "You're looking at them; observing them," he said, not whispering like before. "Bingo!" "But why?" Reyd Dome asked incredulously. Keiji stopped to look at him dead on and gave him the most deadpanned expression Keiji bet he'd ever seen. "I'm not completely psychic. I can't impersonate someone if I haven't seen them before." Keiji looked back but concluded that he was done observing the enemy gang.
"You want a beer?" Reyd Dome looked over quizzically at Keiji's offer. "They have some in their fridge and I figured that since you're tense you could use one to loosen up. I'm not sure how'd you drink it though, since you don't seem to have a mouth. By the way, how do you eat things?" "No thanks, I'm fine. Besides, this is a mission and being drunk would not be in either of our's favor." Reyd Dome completely ignored Keiji's last question.
"Oh well, suit yourself." Keiji went over to their fridge and retrieved a beer, popping the cap and downing it. Reyd Dome rolled his eye and decided to listen in on The Purple Hyena's conversations. At bit after, Keiji joined him, sitting down in the circle everyone seemed to be in with crossed legs and arms back, propping him up to sit. "You're such a child," Reyd Dome muttered. "Maybe, but I'm pretty sure I'm about 15. I think. I'm not too sure. I'll have to consult my birth certificate later."
Reyd Dome decided for then on he would ignore Keiji throughout the entirety of the enemy gang's meet-up because for the life of him he could not take anymore of Keiji's-
___+___
Aaand that's a rap! I didn't expect to make Reyd Dome temperamental but it happened. His name was made in about 10 seconds before his name even appears in the story. Before he used to be that red blob guy with one big eye. So if you couldn't dissect the name, here it is: Reyd consists of 'red' and 'eye' / Dome refers to his big dome of an eye, plus it sounds good.
Boy, Keiji just loves to piss off everybody. He doesn't do it intentionally, he just wants to have some fun and get a reaction out of his current audience. Plus, he doesn't particularly fret about anything too much and tends to be relaxed because of his quirk. Though if he was to go up against Aizawa, he'd start to freak out.
