Jimin - Project

I was in my English class and Ms. Kim was discussing a project that was due next week. We were currently learning about stories in Greek Mythology. Apparently, we had to role play a scene from one of the stories.

"I will now be pairing you for this project," Our teacher announced and we all groaned me included. Why couldn't she let us pick our own partners?

I cross my arms on my desk and lie on them as she announces partners.

"Soumi and Yoongi," My teacher says and I look to my right, to see my best friend Soumi blushing. She's been crushing on Yoongi, for like forever.

"Lucky," I nudged her and she smiles.

Our teacher pairs everyone up, but she forgot about me.

"Ms!" I and my classmate Jimin says at the same time, I look at him and I got curious what he was about to ask.

"(Y/N)? Jimin?" She asked and I gestured for Jimin to go first.

"You didn't pair me with anyone," He said and then Ms. Kim looked at me for my turn, "Uh, that was what I ask going to say as well," I said and I already knew where this was going.

"Case solved, you pair up," We both nodded and soon after the bell rang. I have to stay calm.

About a month ago I was starting to have a crush on him but never acted on it since I was focused on my studies. I didn't even tell Soumi because she'd start teasing me with him and I didn't want that.

Ms. Kim was our last class of the day, so we all packed our things to head out.

"(Y/N), I'll go ahead to discuss with Yoongi," Soumi said quickly packing her things and was already walking out the door.

"Sure, have fun!" I winked and she blushed.

"Yoongi!" I heard her call out and she went out. She acts as if it's her first time to be paired with him, I shake my head at my best friend.

"Hey," Jimin says as I was still fixing my things.

"Hi," I said not looking up putting my things in my bag, then my pencil case fell.

"Aish," I groaned about to bend down, but then he got it for me, "Thanks," I said taking it from him, our hands brushing, my heart pounds, oh no.

"We should head to the library to borrow books of Greek stories before others get them," Jimin said as we walked out the classroom together.

"Yeah," I nodded and we walked together to the library.

I casually put my hand over my heart and it was beating rapidly, we're just partners for a project calm down.

"Do you have a story in mind?" Jimin asked making my heart beat faster.

"Uhm, I don't really have anything in mind," I lied. The story of Psyche and Cupid would be nice or Orpheus' and Eurydice.

"Really?" He asked as we reached the door of the library. I nodded, why did I have to lie?

"Have you read about Orpheus' and Eurydice?" Did I think out loud? Or did he read my mind?

"Yeah, it's one of my favorites," I said smiling and we sat at one of the tables.

"It's one of mine too!" He said smiling putting his bag down, "How about we role-play a scene from there?" He said standing behind the chair.

"Sure," I said and opened my bag to get my textbooks out, might as well start on other assignments while I'm here.
