Bear's Pov:

I was awake first, my power of regeneration allowed me to restore my powers at a much quicker rate. I stretched my limbs and dragged myself into the front end of the vehicle. It had been a week, and Vannah still insisted on staying awake and driving Cara. Her eyes had gained a bleary glisten to them as she looked on in exhaustion.

I saw Katelyn reading one of Vannah's books and I sent a smile in her direction. I saw her father looking all over the place so I flipped the compartments to the food compartment. I opened it and started tearing the fresh food that Savannah and Katelyn had collected out.

"Who took my pickles!" I screamed in fury ignoring the fact that my family was asleep. Katelyn started laughing her head off and I felt my cheeks flush as Savannah groggily walked over from the control panels glaring at the two of us.

"Perhaps your next hiding place shouldn't be the food compartment," Savannah replied picking up a paper bag of marshmallows and eating one. She glared at me and walked back to the bed as mom came out holding Lily. They talked for a moment before Savannah continued back to the driver's seat.

"Bear your flying Cara today because Vannah needs some rest," Mom ordered before getting comfortable on one of the back seats.

"Of course she needs rest! Savannahs powers go on forever! What she did was a series of power overdoses!" I growled at my mother. She sighed as Savannah screamed it's true from behind the front seat.

"Once again Clark sleeps through it all." Mom mumbles. Clicking one of the compartments and pulling a spare blanket out. It was so roomy in here it was easy to forget that we were the size of a bird.

I took the pilots chair. When I was in Cara I imagined it like one of those things called planes. If I was born 100 years ago I would be a pilot in the air forces... But I wouldn't have my powers, and I would probably be dead by now.

I woke the system up and checked the power levels. It was doing well and wasn't having any issues regenerating. I made the wings fan out and it took off. Gliding gracefully off the tree I could hear the sighs of Katelyn and her father. I quickly used my extreme sight to peak at the two of them as Katelyn's father came and took the co-pilots chair.

Katelyn brushed her long brown hair out of her eyes as she continued to read her book. She was reading 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas' when Vannah read that book she had been so upset near the end that she had ripped it apart, thrown it in the fireplace and burned the book.

Dad was furious when she did this because he couldn't just get another book like that because people didn't mass produce books anymore. After that, he taught Savannah to respect and cherish all books.

In the end, she received her power to create things out of thin air. After seeing me and the twins overuse our powers dad tried to find her limit. He made her create as many books as she could out of thin air exactly how they would have been one hundred years ago.

After over 1000 books dad called the experiment off claiming that Savannah had virtually no end to her powers. Savannah had been mad claiming there was a limit and they couldn't just half-heartedly give up when there were more books she could create. Father had appreciated her never give up attitude but claimed that if she did have a limit to her powers she shouldn't be drained when it was time to leave.

Savannah started grumbling rather loudly from her place behind the curtain. I sighed deciding to destroy the calm of the moment. I started doing loop de loops all over the place to the point where everyone was begging me to stop. Savannah stopped grumbling but didn't appear to be disturbed so I stopped flipping Cara and it returned to a normal course.

Mom wobbled over holding Lily who was bawling her eyes out. She glared at me and I smiled.

"Hey, at least I didn't do it slowly..." I said trying to get myself out of trouble.

"Bear Alexander Halk! You could have harmed someone! Now go sit in that chair!" Mom said pointing towards her chair. I got up and she took the pilots seat. I sat in the chair and glared at my mom.

"Why did you do..." Katelyn started to ask.

"Why do you care Katelyn! Just leave me alone." I snapped.

"Why do you always have to be so rude!" She yelled back before looking back at her book. Her father stood and stared at us curiously before going to talk to her about something.

Clark then walked out and saw me in the backseat. He fell over with laughter as mom asked for him to come to help her fly Cara. I just sat in my corner of solitude sulking as once again I heard the soft mumbling of Savannah. She usually didn't speak in such incoherent words.

I rolled my eyes and pulled one of the gaming devices out of the compartment secretly. It was an old tablet which didn't have holographic capabilities. I quietly turned it on and opened some game up.

Sometimes I wished I had lived in the oil era. Life had seemed so much simpler back then. I sighed as some pointless mission appeared on the screen. Quietly I turned it off and put it away.

I was just in time for at that moment mom walked over to talk with me.
