[ Scarlett ]

We are now sitting on the most deadly ride of Texas. We have our sit belt on and with a jerk we start travelling up on the track.

"You know what? When we will go down, the speed will be hilarious. Cause this is too high" Alaric says over the sound of wind. The breeze is touching our face and I know he is right. It looks like a never ending hill thats travelling up and up.

"Is someone scared?" I tease.

"I am not scared. I am just telling- oh shitt" he swears when we reach atop. For a second we look at each other and we know what exactly is going to happen next.

The cold breeze hit our face like a sharp knife and we are going down with a deadly speed. "Aaaahhhh" we scream out our lungs. It takes twirl and several ups and down and finally end. When we stop I cant stop laughing. "That was amazing"

"Again?" He asks with the same glint of excitement in his eyes. I nod smiling and we do it again and again. I swear this can give the best adrenaline rush.

After the colossus we go for the pendulum then the rock and roll, then the columbus. I dont even realise the time. Something tells me to not stop myself from enjoying and may be its the last day. I am running like a child dragging Alaric to several rides. Till now I have completeed almost every ride of this park.

I am sitting on one of the horses of the mary go round with a candy floss in my hand. When was the last time I ate candy floss? I dont remember. I chuckle.

"Are you 5?" Alaric asks me.

"6" I say proudly and we chuckle. I look around and even if I want to do it all over again and dont want to leave this place, I think its time.

Thats, when Alaric grabs my hand and takes me to the most huge thing. "How did I missed this?" I mutter.

We sit on our seats on the giant wheel and it starts revolving. The height of roller coaster is nothing in front of the giant wheel. I peek out and I can see every person of the city. The beautiful city of Houston lies in front of me. There are buildings, museums, park, our university, everything is visible. After a couple of revolutions the cart wheel stop when we are still atop.

Oh shitt. I look at Alaric and he is sitting there all composed and relaxed. "Why did we stop?" I ask and turn to look down. A loud sound explodes in my ears and I almost jump. Then I look up in the sky, crackers.

There is a shower of golden flames right above me. Then it bangs again with a red shower. A smile forms on my face. I sense Alaric right behind me and I freeze. Wait, this is all planned, Alaric did this. I am about to turn and face him when a cold metal touches my clavicle. My eyes widen at the realisation.

Its a locket, I hold it up and look at it. I gasp, its a heart shaped small pendant with a diamond crystal inside its core. I turn around and blink at Alaric.

"It is so beautiful" I breath.

He opens his mouth to say something but nothing comes out. He takes a sharp breath and cups my face with his hands. He tries again but fails. I can see him struggling, he wants to say something but he cannot. Are those the 3 magical words that probably has the 'L-' word in it?
