Chapter 55.

In the exact same moment as Camille pressed her lips against mine, I felt how my stomach twisted inside of me. She has followed me ever since I left the school I'm working on and I guess that kissing me was her last way to catch my attention, which she totally did.
- Camille, what the hell? I asked when I pushed her away from me
- You love me, Magnus. Admit it, she answered and tried to kiss me again
- No, Camille. I'm in love with Alexander and if you can't get that through you head, you need some serious help
- What does he have that I don't?
- Everything, I answered
I turned around and walked into the coffee shop, leaving an angry Camille behind me. As I came in, I searched the place for Alec, but I couldn't see him anywhere, which probably meant that he hadn't arrived yet. I decided to be a nice boyfriend and order some coffee, so I walked up to the counter and smiled at Jocelyn who stood there.
- Hello there, Magnus. How are you today? She asked
- I'm fine, what about you? I answered and gave her a quick smile
- Same here, but I think we should talk about something. Alec was here just a couple of minutes ago, but suddenly he came up to me with tears in his eyes, asking about a back door
- What? I asked and felt how my heart stopped beating
- I thought you might know what happened to him, Jocelyn said
- We were supposed to meet up here for our date, I whispered
- Go find him and if something happens, don't hesitate to call me
- I promise
I left the coffee shop and started running towards the direction of Alec's college. As I was trying to keep myself from not falling, I called his phone over and over again, but he didn't answer. 20 minutes later I stood outside his dorm, but to my surprise, the front door was locked.
- Alexander, I cried and started to knock on the door, but nothing happened
My breathing started to hitch and I could tell that I was crying. I kept knocking on the door for what felt like forever, but when I didn't get any reactions from the other side, I gave up. As a plan B, I took out my phone and dialled Simon's number that he gave me a while ago.
- Simon Lewis, what can I help you with? He asked when he picked up
- Do you still have that spare key Alec gave you? I said without even informing him who he was talking to
- Of course. I was going to return it back to him this week. Why? Simon answered
- I need it
- Have something happened?
- Alexander has locked the door to the dorm so I can't get in, I answered
- Is he okay? Simon asked and I could hear on his voice that he was worried
- No, I don't think so. Jocelyn told me that Alec ran out of the coffee shop with tears streaming down his checks
- I'll be there in 5 minutes. Don't move, Simon said and with that, he hung up
While I was waiting for Simon, I started knocking on the door again but just like the first time, I didn't get any reaction. Only after a couple of minutes, Simon came running down the corridor and as he reached me, he took out a small silver key from his pocket.
- I almost didn't find it, he said
- I'm glad you did, I answered
Simon put the key in the lock and seconds later, he opened the door. Without thinking twice, I ran straight into the dorm and continued into Alec's bedroom. What I came across broke my heart in more pieces than I can count. Alec was laying on the bed, hugging the covers like his life depended on it and if I looked closely, I could see faint tears on his cheeks.
- Alec, I said and carefully dragged my hand through his jet black hair
At first, he didn't moved but when he finally opened his eyes, I felt like screaming out in happiness.
- What happened? I asked
- Get off me, he answered with a stern voice and thereafter, he turned the other way so his back was facing me
- Have I done something wrong?
- What the hell do you think? Alec said with his back still facing me
- Alexander, if I have done something wrong you need to tell me, I answered
I turned to my right and saw how Simon walked into the room. The nervous facial expression was still there but I could tell that he felt a lot calmer when he saw that Alec was alive.
- YOU CHEATED ON ME, Alec suddenly screamed and sat up in the bed
- What? I asked and felt confused
- You cheated on me with Camille
- Alexander, I would never cheat on you. I love you so much, I answered
- How stupid do you think I am? I saw you outside the coffee shop with her and how you two mouth fucked each other, Alec said with an angry voice
- You've got it all wrong. Camille kissed me. I would never take the first step and kiss her. Alec, you have to trust me
- Get out
- Alexander, please don't do this to me. I love you, I answered and felt how tears started to stream down my cheeks
- I said get out. It's over, Magnus. I'm breaking up with you, Alec said
I took one last look at him and after that, I ran out of the room. I could hear how Simon called my name behind me, but I didn't stop running. How can Alec not see how much I actually love him? I would rather kill myself than cheat on him. He's the most amazing person I ever met and without him, I wouldn't be here. As I reached Central Park, I sat down on a bench and took out my phone. Since Alexander doesn't want me anymore, there's only one thing to do. I dialled a number and seconds later, a voice was heard on the other side.
- Magnus?
- Dad, I'll follow you to Indonesia

What is going on? Will Magnus follow his dad to Indonesia? Is this the end of Malec?
