Chapter 26

FIND YOUR WAY BACK

Another boring day with unpleasant warm weather. With the band went on tour, it's just 3 of them all this month. "Blake? Did you see my The Wall vinyl?" Tiana just searching all over the studio for hours. It pissed her off. She always love that album. "I swear I will pay for anyone who can find it." There's a lot of vinyl on that room and it makes the album more difficult to be found.

"You really will pay for that?" Blake running upstairs and go inside the studio just to see a total mess. "You really searched all over the room huh? Even behind the couch?" She looks at the couch that she moved from the corner to exactly in the center of the room. "I can't find it Blake."
"Looking for this?" They turn their body and see John with the exact album they were looking for all day."Damn it John." Blake put her palm on her face. "Come here and I will make sure you're punished." Tiana starts to chasing John to the first floor. They're running all over the house and Blake just there, watching, while laughing on how ridiculous these two human being.

"Got it!!!" Tiana quickly grab the record from him. Leaving him behind her. Catch his breath. But rather than just tired from running, his face turned pale. "Hey, John. You're okay?" She walk back to him, with John down on his knees, and his hands grab the ground. "I..... I can't breath..." Blake running downstairs while seeing Tiana catch John's body when he collapse. She quickly grab his arms and bring him to the couch, lay him there while she tried to call Flea, "Blake!!! Please call Bob."

"Anybody's home?" She hears a voice from the front door. Blake open it and turns out it's Perry. "Hey, Blake right? I heard John is here and..."
"Come in."
"I had a plan to go out with him tonight so I'm just...." Blake cut him one more time, "We need your help." She bring him inside and leads him to John. "Oh God, what happened?" He surprised to see John almost unconscious. "I don't know, he collapse and...." Tiana tries to explain but being cut by him. "Did he take some drugs before?" Perry was hanging out with John long enough to know what happened with him. "I don't know, but he locked himself at his room this morning and...."
"He used it. Come on, help me to bring him to my car."

They rushed him to a hospital and get an emergency situation there. He told the nurse, "I told you, there's a lot of drugs in his system right now. I'm just letting you know." The nurse just nodded and bring him in.

"He's gonna be fine right?" Tiana walks here and there, she really concerned about what just happened to John. "Where is he?" Bob appears and rush to them."He's inside." Blake points at the emergency room. "Thank God." He let out a sigh and then take a seat. He must be coming here in hurry because of the sudden call. "I saw Bob already here, so I guess I can trust him for this." Perry get up from his chair and walk to greet Bob. "Can we talk?"
"Sure. Blake, just wait here with Tiana okay? We'll be coming back."

Inside the emergency room, John slowly open his eyes, "Uhh, what happened?"
"You're up sir?" The nurse looks at him and then bring him a hell of pills. "You're kidding right? I just shot a lot of drugs this morning."
"Just take it sir."
"Okay, whatever." He takes all that given to him and swallow it.

"He needs to enter rehab Bob. I heard a lot from Flea about his addiction and I'm pretty sure even Tiana maintain what he eat, she can't maintain his habits. I know he will never stop."
"I know Perry, but you know John. He need one good reason so he can stop. And we don't have one." Both of them frustrated on how to pursue him to enter rehab."I don't know how, but we have to make him willing to do that. Whatever it takes."

All of sudden a doctor and some nurses rush inside John's room. "What the fuck?" Bob mumbling watching them running to that room. He gets up, "Perry, he doesn't......"
"No. Don't say that. Let's check him out okay?" Both of them go to see him but a doctor stop them. "What happened Blake?" Bob asks her while she can't stop wondering. Then he looks at Tiana, that quite calm. It looked strange for him. "They said he wake up then collapse again." Blake explain. "We'll go to ask them. Something is wrong." Bob and Perry leave them then.

Blake can't believe that Tiana just sit there without saying anything. "How can you not...." Before she can talk again, Tiana stops her. "Don't worry. The devil already set him free." The same time as she says that, a nurse comes out and tell them John's awake. Somehow Blake is glad to hear that but terrified at the same time, she's scared of Tiana. It's like watching some scary shit. Then she remembers her talk with the devil. Blake constantly get more chills down her spine.

Perry almost sue the nurse who gave John those pills, "I already told you. He took a lot of drugs this morning. Yet you still gave him a ton of it?"
"Calm down Perry." John open his eyes, saying his first words after his condition became stable. Perry gives a hug to him and then sit besides the bed. "How it feels?"
"Better. Umm, hey Bob." He notices Bob who's standing on the corner of the room. "Hey there. Flea is almost take a flight here you know." He giggles, telling him how panic Flea on phone when he knew about him. "Ah, poor Flea." He tries to sit, "Also, thank you for helping me."

"He's up?" Tiana ask Bob from the glass on the door. "Yeah, come in." He let Tiana and Blake go inside the room. "Hey Johnny boy." Tiana gives him a light smile and hug him. "You must be worried, don't you?"
"Not really, I know he's gonna hold his promise."
"Who?" She giggles, "Nevermind. I'm glad you're up." It makes John giggles too, but then he saw Blake's face of terror. But when she realized John is looking at her, she quickly change her expression. Something just not quite right.

If her unlucky guess is right, this all means her bestfriend will be taken away to save another. Which is probably John or Anthony. She can't even imagine that thing to happen. She won't anyone taken away, but if she can choose, she hopes it wouldn't be Tiana. At least.

ANOTHER PAIN

"I'm not sure if I can handle this Tony. I knew you're still into it. Someone told me that."
"Jaime, listen, it's not like what you think, I'm totally fine."
"You were lying! You always lied to me. I know everything that you hide. Let's over this okay?"
"Wh..wait, don't do that. Please."
"Bye Tony. Take care." He can't even put the phone back to its place. He can't believe that she just dumped him. He's sure she'll never coming back again. And it means he messed up, just once again. "What am I supposed to do now?" He slam the door of his dressing room and go to see the band. They're gonna on the stage in 19 minutes. He still needs to go even though he doesn't feel like want it. His mood is definitely bad this time.

"What's wrong Tony?" Flea notices his friends mood while entering the stage. "She broke up with me."
"How?"
"I'll tell you later. Just finish this one. Okay?"
"Right. I also need to talk about something with you."

While Chad and Dave get everything up, Flea keep looking at a clock behind the drum set, even while they're playing. He seems like in a hurry.

Chad is taking a break while drinking from his cup. "Why you keep looking at it?" Chad realize how often Flea turns his head back. "I'm counting. I will take a flight tonight."
"For what?"
"I'll tell you after this. Okay?" He takes his drink then put the strap back on his shoulder. "Is he okay? We have a party after this." Dave comes to Chad and take his cup. "Have no idea. I guess it's about some important business."
"Oh, alright." He swallow his water then put the cup back. "Everyone have their business."

After the show, 4 of them go to the backstage and take a rest. While everyone  is chilling, Flea make an announcement. "Guys, umm.. I will take a flight tonight so... I will not attend the party."
"Is everything okay?" Dave put a sharp stare on him. "No, Dave. Actually John almost got overdosed today. He's in hospital. Bob and Perry wants to talk to me."
"Perry's there?" There's an awkward tone on Dave's voice considering who Perry was. "Yeah. Perry. And, you can go partying without me." He take his bag and go to Anthony. He's whispering, "You wanted to talk to me?"
"Yes, actually. But because I see you in hurry. I just want to tell you that I broke up with Jaime."
"Wh....what? How?" Anthony push him to leave, "Doesn't matter. John's condition far more important. Just go. I will forget this by partying with Chad and Dave."
"Alright. Take care Tony."

"So, where's the party?" Chad is shouting hoping to lighten up their mood. "Let's move to my room!" Anthony insists to make the party on his room and Chad go out to find some alcohol, "I'll catch up okay? We need a hell lot of beers." He's chuckling and leave.

"Well, I have something more interesting." Dave smirks and blink one of his eyes to Anthony. "Hahaha, let's get that."

"If only I took a deal for Hillel, Charlie. If only I made it." Tiana is washing her hands in the bathroom, talking to the mirror. "Look at me now. I should've done this couple years ago to save him. But no, I was too sacred and selfish back then." She take water on her hands and pour it to her face. "I was retarded." She giggles and then leaves the bathroom.

When she's entering John's room, there's Flea there, laughing with John. "Oh hey Flea! Took an early flight?" She takes an apple from the table and a knife. "Yeah. Pretty fast flight. How are you?"
"As you see. I'm great, and cutting apple for you two." Flea chuckles on her joke. "Not even funny T." John giggles. "Well, that's rude. I'm not gonna give you two my apple."
"Ah, come on! You bought it for me." John takes the apple from her hand without warning and takes a bite.

Flea is looking around, "Where's Bob and Perry?"
"I told Perry to go home. He must be tired. But Bob is at the cafeteria down there...." Suddenly someone open the door and cut her from talking. "Looking for me?" Bob shows his face between the doors. "Yeah, there you are." Flea get up and leaving the room.

"This is great." Anthony lay down on his bed after another shot. "I told you. They're good. I got this from a good source."
"Guys, the beers is here...." Chad open the door just to find both Anthony and Dave are high. "Oh, hey Chad? Want some?" Dave about to gives him a bag but Chad refuse. "Hahaha. No, thanks. That's umm... Hard to handle dude. Now excuse me." He put the beers on the table and close the door again.

"More apple?" John put the last piece of it and asking for more. "Alright, wait here apple boy." She go out to buy some.

While she's walking through the corridor, she hears Bob and Flea talking but can't hear enough. It got clear when she get before a turn. They're talking about entering John into rehab. "Maybe you can pursue him?" Bob ask Flea to make sure John will enter rehab. "I'll try Bob, but I'm not sure if...." Before he can finish his sentence, he got something on his pager. Then his facial expression turns into a nightmare. "Who's that?" Bob is curious.

"It's Chad. Anthony... Is having heroin party with Dave. I don't know what to do Bob. This is a mess. Anthony just broke up and now he's high. I don't know which one to take care first. John or Anthony...." Suddenly Tiana shows up and surprised both Bob and Flea. "What did you say?"
"T, calm down...."
"I heard it Flea." She sigh, let out a frustrated tone. "I'll handle this."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I'll make John sure to ener the rehab then help Anthony to stop. John comes first. He can't handle himself. About Anthony, I'm sure I can help. But it will takes time. I know him." Bob looks to Flea then to her, "You sure can do that?" She nodded, "Let me talk to John "

She goes back to John's room and quickly sit besides his bed. "Where's the apple T?"
"John." She put a serious face to him, make him stop and listening. "Promise me you'll enter the rehab."
"T, I won't to talk about...." She cut him, "Just listen John, god damn it!" He can see how much tears she's holding right now behind those cherry eyes. "I don't know if you'll think this is ridiculous or not, but I believe that you understand me enough to believe me."
"Tiana, what's this about?" He touches her shoulder, she's shaking. "I took the deal. I agreed to give my life for you and Anthony."
"No, it's just your imagination, you're....."
"Schizophrenic? Might be... But what if... I will really die for it? Please, try, at least for me. If I live long enough, that's gonna be good. But if not, at least don't make my decision go for nothing."
"T...."
"Please John.."
"Okay. I'll do it. But after your album with Blake. She wants it so bad." She giggles when hearing that. "Alright John." John get up and hug her. "You'll not go away. Hillel is with you." After awhile, they let go their hug and sit still, "I know."

"There's one more thing." She adds. "What's that?"
"I think I'm gonna back to Anthony." That one somehow breaks John's feeling. "Really? Good for you. I know both of you still loving each other and you guys need to find your way." He tries to smile. "I don't know, I wish I can. I need to help him with his addiction." She explain. "He's... Using it, again?"
"Yeah, and promise me John. You'll stay in rehab no matter what. I might be with him not long enough. I will try to help him while I can. Because...."
"Because what?"
"My mind got worse lately. I'm struggling to fight that. But I pretended that those things not happened. Not in front of anyone. Scientifically, my schizophrenic brain fucked me up. But personally? I think that's because I play the deal with my devil." She laugh a bit, trying to hide her nerves.

"Also, he broke up. It's a weird miracle... so... Hahaha. That's might be a sign for me."
