Double Elimination

Alissa's POV
Tonight is a double elimination that I'm not excited for but I'm excited to share this mashup with the world, I will also be playing the piano so I'm excited for that too
I go 3rd this time, which means I can actually enjoy everyone's performance, including Noah's who is right after me
"Noah" I whined
"What's wrong" he asked
"I'm scared! Nobody has ever done a mashup, so what if this fails and gets me eliminated" I stressed
"Baby, you're going to be fine, people love change, people love different, and that's what you're going for. You'll be fine, I can promise you that" Noah explained and I nodded curling up into his chest
"I don't wanna let anyone down" I whimpered
"You won't. I'm proud of you no matter what happens, ok" he clarified
"Ok" I nodded looking up into his eyes
"Don't cry baby, you'll be great" he cooed wiping the tears from my cheeks
I nodded and we left the hotel room to head to the venue for last minute rehearsals and getting ready

I rehearsed it for one last time to make sure it was ok and once I knew it was, I stopped rehearsing and went to get ready for tonight
I met up with Nikki, my makeup artist/hair dresser and she curled my hair braiding part of it and then doing a very natural makeup look with it as I headed over to wardrobe to pick out a cute outfit (media)

*start of show*
So Davon is first doing Hurt by Christina Aguilera and he killed it, I would be lying if I said I didn't shed a few tears during it
Then Adam did Maybe It Was Memphis, killing it. I hope he makes it to top 8 after being in the bottom 2 these past 2 weeks
And next was little old me
"And now is your 16 year old Pittsburgh powerhouse doing something a little special for you guys, here's Alissa Reanne" Carson said and my rehearsal footage showed while everyone was wishing me luck for my performance and the piano got wheeled on the stage
"Now singing a P!nk medley, here's Alissa Reanne" Carson exclaimed and I started playing the piano smiling a little bit

During the second verse, I got up from the piano and started performing a little bit
"Cause where there is desire, there is gonna be a flame. Where there is a flame, someone's boutta get burned" I sang and I saw Blake's jaw dropped, Adam and Miley on their feet, and Jennifer throwing a shoe
"But just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die. You've gotta get up and try try try" I harmonized hitting the high note making everyone cheer louder than they have normally or for anyone else
"I'm safe, up high, nothing can touch me! And we're not broken just bent but we can learn to love again. No pain, inside, you're my protection. And we're not broken just bent but we can learn to love again" I continued making the coaches applaud before I was done
"You've gotta get up and try try try" I finished making everyone scream their heads off and everyone throw shoes at me
"Wow that was amazing! Adam, thoughts" Carson asked
"Alissa mother freaking Reanne, that was the best performance I have seen in 13 seasons. The fact that you have the guts to do something different like that, nobody has ever thought of a mashup but you made it work so well, I'm not only so freaking proud of you, but that you actually need to win this freaking show" Adam explained
"Can I say something" Miley chimed in and Carson nodded
"Ok hi Alissa. That performance was beautiful, I have tears rolling down my cheeks as we speak, but those lyrics blended so well, I thought you were singing an original. Now I know you were nervous about this risk, but I'd say it paid off, right guys" Miley asked making everyone scream and me smile wider than before
"Oh Alissa, I love you so freaking much! Honestly, no one has had the guts or the mindset to think about a mashup, which makes you worthy to this business, but you earned yourself another #1 because that was awesome" Jennifer exclaimed and I nodded while going backstage and hugging Noah right before he goes on
