it all started with a smile.
your pearly whites showing,
eyes crinkling,
crescents forming.

"hi." you greeted, your voice deepening.
i fell with your voice, deep and sweet.

everything you say, i know it's sincere.
with your brown hazel eyes, i'm convinced,
that you feel the same way— i do.

all the laughter and smiles,
arguments and fights,
memories— full of glee or gloom,
are what made us,
into what we are now.

sometimes, home isn't just a four-walled building. sometimes, it has two eyes and a heartbeat.

and in your hug,
and in your presence,
and in your kiss,

i knew—

i am home.
