{Abigail's Pov}

"Ab, aren't you going hangout with your friends?" My mom asked.

I groaned in response.

"They're both on dates." I yelled.

"Why don't you get a date." My mom pushed.

"I- Hey! Be glad that I'm single, and not doing drugs."

"I didn't say I wasn't proud of you."

"Well you didn't say you were proud of me either."

My mom didn't say anything after that, so I started to scroll through Instagram. That's when I saw a picture of some fries.

"Why don't I go do something?" I muttered to myself.

I then got up, off of my bed, and started to go to a restaurant. I made it to Red Robin, and I sat at a booth. I had my menu up, as I just ordered a side of fries and a milkshake, while I thought about what I wanted to eat.

"So, what are we eating?" A voice asked.

So subtly, I put my menu down to see a really cute guy, about my age.

"Sorry, I should probably introduce myself, I'm James." He said holding out his hand.

"Sorry, I didn't know I would have to be sharing my meal." I said, a bit annoyed.

"Okay, got it, we skip the B.S. and go straight to the good part."

He then put his arm, away from me.

"What are you doing here, James?" I asked.

Then my milkshake came, so I took it and I started to drink it, while waiting for an answer.

"Well, I'll tell you what." He started.

"Okay."

"I will pay, for half of this meal."

"Mhmm."

"I'll be good company."

"Mhmm."

"IF you let me sit here with you."

"How can you promise good company?"

"You're just going to have to trust me on that."

Then the fries came, so he took one and plopped it into his mouth.

"Alright, you can stay. But I'm holding you to that, 'I'll pay for half the meal'." I said, taking a fry.

"Deal." He said.

He then ordered a milkshake too, and we got some burgers.

"My name is Abigail, by the way." I said, after the burgers came along.

"Nice to meet you." he replied, while nodding his head.

We spent hours at Red Robin, laughing, and talking about absolutely everything. Apparently he was a song writer and had written some songs for 'Why Don't We'

"So you know all the guys personally?" I asked.

"Yeah, I do. Corbyn and Daniel were my best friends." He said.

"No way, they are dating my friends. Not to mention, I go to school with them."

"Small world."

"So, do you still write for them?"

"No, they ended up wanting to start their own songs, so I let them."

"Wait, where do you go to school?"
