{Emma's Pov}

It was lunch time, and as I predicted, Abigail was in the bathroom before lunch. Less of a prediction, more of a, I might've dared her to chug a whole soda the period before lunch, kind of thing. But hey, my plan worked, and she was in the bathroom, so she would walk over to the lunch table late. The boys, Odette, and I were all sitting at our lunch table. I was bouncing my leg in anticipation, and I was really nervous, I could feel my stomach turn. I looked at Corbyn for some comfort, but he was still the same way.

"It's okay, we got this, just breathe." Jack whispered to me, from behind, putting his hands on my shoulders. It was almost if he knew what I was thinking.

"Thanks." I said, patting his shoulder, as he sat down.

"You don't know what's going through his mind, do you?"

"I wish I knew, I don't understand why he was this scared for this long."

"Trust me, I wish I knew too."

"Okay, guys, here she comes." Odette said to the group.

"Alright, Corbyn, truth or dare?" I asked him.

He looked at me, as if he knew I was going to ask him why he was so upset. Abigail, then sat down, at our table.

"Dare." He said, knowing that's not what I wanted.

"Fine, I dare you, to go and buy the next person in line's food." I replied, bitterly.

I watched as he bought some freshman's lunch, and he plopped back down in his seat.

"Why are you two acting weird?" Abigail asked.

"I'm nit the one who's acting weird." I muttered.

"What was that? I don't think you were loud enough for the class to hear?" Corbyn threw back.

"Woah, everyone, let's just chill." Zach intervened.

"You know what, I'm not hungry anymore." Corbyn said, throwing his napkin onto his full plate of food.

I scoffed, and I followed him as he got up and threw away his food. I followed him into the hallway, and finally I had enough of this crap.

(If you play the song 'Don't Be a Fool' by Shawn Mendes, it makes this moment so much more dramatic, and painful. I would recommend 10/10)

"Corbyn, what is wrong with you?" I asked him sternly, grabbing his arm.

"Nothings wrong, what's wrong with you?" He snapped.

"Nothing. You know what, all I have been doing was being supportive of you and taking your time in talking to me. But I have had enough, I want to know what you're hiding from me. What are you so afraid of telling me?!"

"That I might be in love with you!"

"Corbyn..."

"No stop, I think we can't be together, if you're with me, all you're going to do is get hurt."

"Corbyn...?"

I started to tear up.

"Just go, before you get hurt more." He said, as he pulled out of my now lose grip, and walked off.

I just stood there, and watched him walk off. This morning, he was all lovey-dovey, and now, I'm not even anything to him. My vision blurred up, as tears started to roll down my cheeks.

"Emma!" A voice called, it was Odette.

I couldn't move, I couldn't force my feet to move. I then saw Odette walk in front of me.

"Why are you crying?" She asked.

"He's gone. He left me, he didn't want to be with me anymore." I said, but that was all I could say.

The memory was on repeat, as he yelled at me, told me he loved me, and then walked off each time. It got harder and harder. Then I heard eight other footsteps run towards me. My knees got weak, as I fell to the ground, and sat there. Odette joined me, and hugged me. Then the boys joined, and I was being hugged by all of them. I could feel the warmth of five people, but I felt alone in the moment. I didn't feel the love, that they were trying to give me. I couldn't feel anything emotional in the moment. I couldn't feel anything, period. That's when I realize that Abigail was here.

"Where's Abigail?" I asked through the tears.

"She's on the phone." Odette replied.

"James." Jonah added.

They all helped me get up, and I got one last hug from everyone.

I then wiped my tears away, and put up my hair. Yet, I was holding back more tears. We all started to walk back to the cafeteria, I was walking next to Zach.

"What happened?" He asked me.

"I don't know, one moment he said he was in love with me, and then he said I was going to get hurt. So he left me." I replied.

"He admitted that he was in love with you?"

"Yep."

"When was that?"

"Right before he was taking my heart, and smashing it on the ground with his foot."

"I'm sorry Em." He said, putting an arm around my shoulder, pulling me into a side-hug.

I leaned my head on his shoulder, as I hugged him back. Then I sat back down in my seat, and poked at my food. I was defiantly not hungry anymore, when I get this upset, when I eat, it just comes back up. It wasn't worth throwing up in front of everyone, just to eat. I looked around the cafeteria, and there was Abigail in the corner, talking on the phone, smiling and laughing. She was so happy, that I could feel the love she had for the guy. It was the same feeling I had for Corbyn. Then there was Corbyn, I saw him through the window, staring, and then he walked away.

'I might be in love with you!' He yelled.

The words echoing through my mind.

"Emma." Jonah said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Hmm?" I said.

"How are we going to redo this plan, without Corbyn?" He asked me.

"Wait, you guys didn't finish it without us?"

"No, she asked what was wrong, and when we said we didn't know, she got a call from James. There wasn't really a good time for us to just continue." Jack said.

"Great, I don't know, but you might have to do this plan without me." I said.

"What! Why?" Odette asked.

"I can't be here while Corbyn is here, and Corbyn has to be here to tell the story, so he can expose James."

"Well then, I'm out." Odette said.

"Wait, why you?" Daniel asked.

"Well, it would be kind of weird if I'm the only girl there, she's going to know that I planned it."

"How are we going to pull it off without you guys?" Zach asked.

"Use the same plan, just we'll make sure that she sits before us. Then we'll pretend that we have to talk privately. So then you guys can expose James." I replied, empathetically.

"This better work." Jack said.
