I find it rude when someone just tells me directly who to be in a roleplay. Sorry if y'all work that way or roleplay with someone else like that, but please don't try it with me. I'm not one of those people.

Like, if they say 'you're Jake' or 'you play Michael', it strikes me as rude. If you want me to play as a specific character, at least word it differently instead of telling me directly who to be to fit your preferences, please.

If you say 'can you play Jeremy' or 'can I play Christine', then of course I'll say yes, but if you directly tell me, I most likely won't respond to you.

Because then if you tell me who to be, I'll feel controlled and the roleplay, for me, loses its fun, creative edge and then it makes it boring to roleplay. And I really don't like feeling constricted or controlled.

So, yeah.
