Chapter 12 - Wow

Alex's POV

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hi...Louis?" A males voice rang through my ears.

"Uh no, my name is Alex. You see my phone broke, Louis thought it was his fault so he kinda gave me his" I explained to the mysterious person.

"Ah yes. Alex. Hello I'm Simon" He said simply.

"Simon..." I wanted to know if he was ..the.. Simon.

"Cowell" He added.

"Simon!" I said excitedly a little too loud and I got noticed. I quickly ran and hid behind some clothes on a stand.

"Yep. That would be me....I hear a lot of screaming...are you alright there?" Simon asked with a chuckle.

"Oh uh yea...we could use your help actually" I replied with a nervous chuckle.

"Oh?" He wanted me to go on.

"Yea..you see we were shopping, the boys and a few friends I mean. And they kinda got noticed..." I trailed off.

I heard Simon sigh before replying "Ok text me your location and I'll send security. For now try to hide the rest of the boys"

"Uh they kinda already got found out" I say sounding a little desperate.

Theres another loud sigh at the other end of the line.

"Well...I guess try to control them somehow...distract them. I have to go just...try what you can. Thanks. Nice meeting you Alex. Bye" The phone went silent.

Oh boy how am I gonna achieve this. Maddi...she can sing!

I ran up to Maddi who was hiding behind a manakin.

"Maddi you need to sing!" I told her.

"I what!?" She whisper-shouted.

" you need to sing. To distract the fans and give the boys a chance to get somewhere safe...er" I explained

She sighed knowingly. She nodded, stood and walked over behind the cashiers desk standing on it.

'Thank you!' I mouthed to her as she simply rolled her eyes.

"Used to be a Baby, used to be a Lady, thought you were the perfect lover. All the harmony went, fallin' outta key so now ya gotta find anotha. Now ya talkin' crazy sayin' that ya made me like I was ya cinderella!" Maddi started singing Acapella by Karmin.

I quickly scrambled over to where the boys were as the mob of girls suddenly became interested in Maddi. The bohs were staring at Maddi too and I knew that I could only take one at a time so I broke each one out of their trance separately. First I went to Zayn since he was closest. There was a girl still clinging to his arm so I quickly replaced it with a Manikin arm instead. I scruffled up Zayn's hair to get him out of his trance. We snuck out to the staff only area without anyone noticing. I did the same with all of the boys replacing the boys with Manakin parts and snapping each one out of their trance and into the back. I got each boy out of the trance by slapping Harry...gently, waving in front of Liam's face, kissing Louis on the cheek, but Niall...I just had to drag him. He was too shocked at the fact that Maddi could sing.

Once Maddi had finished, she sprinted into the back room before anything could happen to her too. She ran in and locked the door behind her.

I sent a quick text to Simon telling him what happened and about us temporarily hiding in the staff room.

"Wow Maddi that was Amazing!" Niall shouted finally breaking out of his trance.

Maddi blushed and became interested in her shoes.

"Not really" She mumbled.

"Yea you were Awesome!" The boys all chorused making Maddi smile and turn as red as a tomato.

There was a short silence.

"Ok guys. Simon said security are on their way" I said breaking the silence.

They all nodded.

"Can you sing like that?" Harry asked looking up at me.

"Uh. No" I said simply looking down.

"Yes you can" Maddi interjected punching my arm lightly.

I just chuckled.

"Sing! Please!?" Harry begged.

"Ok ok. Fine. 1 Song" I said holding up a finger.

I started to sing 'Little Things' because I didn't know what else to sing.

When I finished I examined everyones faces and these were my outcomes:

Maddi - Smug grin with her arms crossed. (Proud)

Liam - Smirk leaned back against the wall with arms crossed. (Impressed)

Zayn - almost unreadable, slight smirk. (Satisfied)

Niall - Dreamy, staring at Maddi. (Wasn't listening. I bet he was replaying Maddi's song in his head. In love with Maddi)

Harry - Open mouth like a fish with wide eyes. (Shocked)

Louis - Gazing at me like I'm a fine piece of art. (In love)

I cleared my throat to get their attention after a while.

"Wwwoooowww" Harry said stretching his 'wow' out longer than normal.

"Yea" Louis nodded.

"Yup thats m' girl" Maddi laughed making me laugh too.

Now it was my turn to blush.

All of the sudden there was a loud knocking sound coming from the door. Security was here.

"Security's here" Zayn said confirming my thoughts.

The door flew open and the boys and I rushed outside in pairs...I went with Louis, Maddi went with Niall, Kenna went with Harry, Grace went with Zayn, and Lesley went with Liam.

We ran though the store, through the mall, out the mall into the carpark, through the car park and up to a black Limousine. We all slid in and the chauffeur started to drive off. Simon was in the passenger seat.

"That was pretty impressive guys!" Liam said breaking the silence.

"Thanks" Maddi and I said at the same time laughing.

"So...can you girls sing?" Zayn said looking at Grace.

They simply shook their heads.

"No but Kenna plays the drums, Grace plays Bass, and Lesley plays the keyboard" I added.

"Wow, really?" Zayn looked kind of shocked.

They just nodded.

"You should make a band!" Harry said.

"They don't have a guitar" Niall interjected.

"Yea, I play" I said leaning forward so my elbows were on my knees.

"Then make a band" Harry said joyfully. We all just looked at eachother.

We all shrugged...all except Maddi. She was still unsure. We looked at her with pleading eyes.

.................."I guess we could give it a shot" Maddi said smiling a little after what seemed like forever.

"Yay!" The rest of us girls chorused in unison.

After we got home we all crashed. The girls stayed the night curled up in pillows and blankets on the floor, a couple on the couches, and one or two in the guest beds.
