CHAPTER ELEVEN real life and instagram third person p.o.v.

ava was sitting on her bed whilst doing her homework and blasting music and humming.
her volume on the music dropped a bit, indicating that she received a text.
it read come down to the park they're gonna light the christmas tree at 9! bring ur gifts for everyone! monty will be there ;) -jess
she smiled at the text and thought about it. she simply responded that she'd be there soon.
ava closed her text book and shoved her pencils into her backpack, threw on a long sleeve shirt and her phone while running out the door
she breathed in the cold winter air and admired the soft snow flurries falling out of the sky.
she decided to walk to the parksince she found out it wasn't far from her house at all.
once she arrived, she saw some families and couples, then soon saw her group of friends that consisted of jess, justin, hannah, clay, monty, and zach.
ava's p.o.v.
"that was quick." jess smiles to me, taking a drink out her coffee cup. i laughed and hear my name being called.
"ava?" i turn around to see monty with a jacket zipped up to his neck, his breath looking like smoke.
"hey." i blush, looking up at the freckled face boy.
"i didn't you'd be here." he smiled, placing his pockets.
"jess convinced me." i had a small smile on my face, trying not to freeze. monty must have noticed and grabbed his letterman jacket off the bench not too far away.
"i'm not wearing it, i don't see why you can't." i smiled and put it over my sweater, enjoying its warmth.
"it's about to start!" i turn to see clay bringing out his phone after yelling that they were about to light the tree.
i excitedly turned to face the tree, a gleam in my eyes.
i could feel monty's eyes on my face so out of the moment, i reached into his right pocket and grab his hand, intertwining our cold fingers. he removes our hands and leaves them next to our bodies as the bottom of he tree begins to gleam.
my face lights up and soon the rest of the rest of the tree lights up and the sound of christmas songs is played to top it all off.
"wow. it's beautiful." i hear jess say on the other side of me.
"it really is." justin says next to her.
"i love you guys." hannah says while turning her head towards everyone. we all laugh and walk into a big group hug.
merry christmas to us.
