four months earlier

"let's watch elf." (y/n) suggested, walking into her living room where wyatt currently was.

"we can watch anything you want, love." wyatt smiled at the girl and watched as she put elf into the dvd player (does anyone actually own one of those anymore??).

once the movie was in (y/n) took a seat next to wyatt who automatically put his arm around her, "i love you, (y/n/n)." he said as he placed a kiss onto her head.

(y/n) smiled, "i love you too, wy."

the present

"i hate you, wyatt."

it was 4:07am and (y/n) was wide awake, it was like every other night. she hasn't gotten a decent amount of sleep since wyatt left and she resents him for it.

wyatt was in bed with his new girlfriend, millie, who was fast asleep. he wishes he could fall asleep that easily.

"i wonder if you're asleep, (y/n/n)." he whispered, closing his eyes and wishing to sleep.
