On a dull Sunday evening, Sona knocked frantically on the lawyer's residence door............she had been here to obtain answers to all her impending questions.........she knew he was the only link which could get her to Dev.........Dev had trusted him with his most secretive details for the purpose getting her released..........she knew he had failed miserably, but then the guilt which he held in his eyes at the time of her imprisonment was enough to convey to her his heartfelt apologies..........

She knew he had wished good for her..........he had genuinely tried to get her released.........but then he couldn't be blamed if he hadn't succeeded..........she very well knew she had succumbed into the trap she had gotten herself into willingly..........had she confided in Dev before taking such a big decision all by herself, they would have been in a better position then what they were at present.........

She waited patiently for him to open the door...........knocking at an unknown man's door at this odd hour wasn't ethically correct.........but then she had been left with no other option in life...........her in-laws had driven her out of the house.........her husband had practically abandoned her 2 years back........now when she tried finding him, he was nowhere to be traced.........she had no place to stay in...........now only option available was to trace her husband and ask him the reason behind his sudden disappearance......

The door opened and the lawyer stood infront of her perplexed..........he must have certainly not expected her to land at his doorstep now..........he smiled at her hesitantly as he welcomed her inside.........."please come in Mrs. Dixit.........sorry I wasn't expecting you here.........it's good to see you walk free..........I'm sorry about what happened 2 years back"..........his head hung low as he recollected his defeat in court which led to her being behind bars for a good amount of her life.........

"it's ok Mr. Steves.........what happened has subsided..........it cannot be brought back.........but right now I'm in a bigger mess.........I cannot locate Dev, and now the situation is such that I have to spend my nights on the road...........my MIL has driven me out of the house and I have no one to turn to for help..........I have come here with a lot of hope Mr. Steves..........please don't turn me down"...........she pleaded as his expressions grew concerned ones for her..........

"please feel free to stay here Mrs. Dixit...........it would be my honor to help you out in this moment of crisis............please come in, I will ask my wife to make arrangements for your stay.....".........he started moving in when Sona called him back.........
