Up and Down

I finally did it

Charlies POV

I look up at Hunter and he smiles

"Don't worry she just needs time to process"

"I know but Ivy's never avoided  me"

"Charlie she's being going through alot, she needs time to be alone and let everything sink in"

"I guess so, but-"

"No buts Charlie, this is how it works, nothing you do can change this"

"What if-"

"No" the conversation is interupted when someone knocks on the door, I stand up and answer it. Ivy's there and she throws her arms around me, I stagger back, then wrap my arms around her and breathe out in releif and hold her to my chest.

"Ivy are you ok?"

"No, i never have been" she presses a piece of paper torn in half into my hand then falls onto the ouch next to Hunter, as I read. I look at them and see hunter checking out Ivys hand,

"What happened?" he asks

"It was an accident"

"I dont believe you"

"I just smashed my mirror"

"Ivy!"

"I'm sorry, i wasnt in a good state"

" Are you hurt anywhere else?"

"No" she looks away and I can tell she's lying

"You're lying" I interupt

"What?" they both ask

"She's lying I can tell"

"I'm not lying"

"Ivy I've known you since we were kids, I can tell when your lying" I look at hunter in a silent conversation, He grabs her shoulders, I pull up her sleeves and check, nothing, she starts kicking, so i sit on her legs and pull her pants up nothing, I pull them back down, then I check her stamach, where theres a bandage. I pull it off, I see pictures that she's carved onto herself, and my heart breaks, iI've seen these before, when we were younger we made signs to represent each other, I"m the heart, I trace my fingers over it. Kate is the star, her mum is the butterfly, for her grandma a flower and a tear for her dad. She used to have special meanings for them and why we were that sign, I trace them with my fingers and close eyes.

Ivy's POV

Charlie stands up and storms out, Hunter lets go of my shoulders and pulls me into a hug, I lay there wrapped in the embrace

"What do they mean?" Hunter asks

"What?" He nods at my stomache 

"Oh, they are symbols for the most important people in my life"

"Tell me them"

"The star for kate, Charlies the heart" I go onto explain them all, until I fall asleep.

I sit up and look around confused, Hunter is gone and I'm no longer at Charlies house, and now I'm freaking out. I stand up and walk around but there no sign of other human existance, I open the door and start wondering around, I soon realize I'm in Hunter's house, I find the lounge room and I'm seriously shocked to what I find.

Chases POV

"Dude those brownies were so good"

"Yeah, I wonder when Ivy's getting back, all she said was that she was going to talk to Charlie and then she'd be back"

"Well she probably got held up" 

"Okay"

"Well lets stop moping around and watch a movie or something"

"Ok, what movie?"

"I dont know what movies she has"

"Oh, true, well lets go look".

We search through Ivy's movies, then settle for 21 jump street.

Ivy's POV

"Wow, that was seriously unexpected" They jerk away from each other, and I stand there smirking, 

"Ivy we can explain"

"You don't need to explain, this is kinda cute"

"What?"

"Unexpected but cute"

"You call two guys making out cute?"

"No I mean you two would be a good couple"

"Really?"

"Yeah, Charlie, why didn't you tell me you were gay"

"I was sort of unsure until now" I shift my gaze to Hunter who is bright red

"Well you two lovebirds, I best get going, leave you to it unless you want to come" They look at each other,

"We'll come" 

"Cool"
