"there is nothing wrong with dating alex, there is just a few rules, okay?" mike said as he sat at his desk, may-li sitting at hers.

"yeah and i reckon i could probably guess one or two, so let's skip them" ryan said, mike and may-li exchanged glances before telling ryan the rules other than the 'obvious' ones.

"no going into each other's rooms at night"

"no pda, especially in front of the little ones"

a long list of rules later, ryan left and went into the kitchen to get a drink.

as soon as he entered, everyone was quiet. ryan scanned the room as he walked to the sink and noticed alex wasn't there.

"where's alex?" he asked.

"he didn't come back down." chloe said.

"he didn't want anyone knowing" ryan said, glaring at floss.

"you should've been more careful where you snogged then" floss shot back, earning another glare.

"you should've knocked."

floss was about to open her mouth and shoot back again but sasha told her to shut it.

"we don't mind that you two are gay." jody said, everyone agreeing.

"i'm bi actually" ryan said. well, straight.

"still"

"what's bi?" dexter asked.

"liking both genders" joseph told him.

ryan pushed himself off the counter and walked away.

"where are you going?" tyler asked.

"to talk to alex" ryan said like it was obvious.

"i don't imagine there being much talking" floss said suggestively.

"wouldn't you like to know" ryan said before leaving, leaving everyone that picked up what floss said shocked.

"knock knock" ryan said pushing alex's door open.

"fuck off" alex replied, rolling over on his bed.

"stop being so stroppy" ryan closed the door behind him and led next to alex.

"it's your fault"

"yeah well get over it, we have to cuddle"

"what! why?"

"because mike said we're not allowed"

"you're kidding right?" alex scoffed.

"do you want the money or not" ryan rolled over so alex could spoon him.

"this is not worth it" alex said pulling ryan to his chest and wrapping his arm around him.

"why are you doing it then?"

there was an awkward silence for a few moments before alex spoke again.

"shut up"
