Chapter 1

 Naya :

I was lay on the floor of the ocean watching the fish my pod we're learning human sailors in to the sea with their songs getting them closer and closer to the water then before the human knows it the human is drowning screaming the pod play with them then rip them apart and eat them so all is left is clothes then they swim and around and play or find their next meal I got up swimming around the the island went into one of the big rivers then I saw small little boat when I got closer I hear children's laugher slowly smudge from the water near the boat there were two boys and little girl the smaller boy saw I was in the water pointed at me said "look it's a mermaid "other two to where he was pointing their eyes widened at what they saw I put my hand on the boat asked them "what is a children that is one with the earth my I ask what is a mermaid?" The little girl spoke "a mermaid is a girl that lives in the water and saves people from drowning out at sea I looked at her I thought I was a fish the little boy laughs well a mermaid does have a fish tail to help them swim and they breath underwater" I looked at them then flicked my tail in the air and look at it my dark purple blue black and silver tail then back at them I put my tail back in the water "oh is there such thing is a bad mermaid?" I gave them a little smile looked at them in awe put my arms on the boat the older boy warned what look like siblings" yes and Lucky Rosie don't get too close to her" I looked at him "what are you children doing out here ? if don't mind me asking because the ocean is a dangerous place "one name Lucky spoke we are kinda lost can you help us get back to the docks then I felt my pod swimming around the boat I look down my leader" sing the song get them close to the edge so we can eat" I frowned "no I will not we will leave them be "my leader hiss at me then I hiss at her I looked the children "you need to stay away from the edge of the boat I will try to keep the other bad mermaids ..."felt someone clawing at my tail I screamed pain then I felt a bite I sunken down in the water I swung my tail out of their webbed hand and hissed saw the other trying to get one of the children to go over bored I swim to them and shoved them away then I heard little girl scream and a splash I looked over the little girl in the water one of the pod about to attack her I quickly swam over to her and wiped my claw at them and bared my teeth had the close to my chest the little girl she was so warm against my cold body from being in the cold ocean for so long the girl looked up and looked at in fear swiped to the surface and put her the boat the little girl screamed "scary mermaid scary mermaid monster "I felt twig of pain in my chest look over saw another boat came to them I think your people are coming to you I will hold off the bad mermaid the older boy look at me in surprise felt more pain in my tail then I was dragged down into the water I fight them off then trying to out swim them I was bleeding and and to find somewhere safe I see a opening to a river that connected the ocean I turn to it and swim as fast as I can in the winding river at each fork I take two rights then a left then two left then a right end at a little lake in the forest I looked behind me saw that no one was their I think I lose them I was weak tired and in pain from the swim and fight looked around for a safe place to rest saw a big brown plant with green near the top with growing everywhere swiped over it notice three big rock that make a arch had nice calm water the roots of the plant grow over the arch into the water in the ground look like a cave swim though the roots and squeezing through the last root lead on the soft green plant that was growing on the rock under water looked at my wounds they were healing slowly so I lick them to help heal fast when I was done lead down tired the rock and fell asleep

"Ashton baby can go do something more fun your to stressed and I can help you relax you know I am basically going to be the next Luna of the pack so if there's a problem we should learn to work to gather "I looked up at Vanessa fake girlfriend helps keep my parents off my back shock my head "first your not my mate so no your not the Luna and second I have to work to do and very busy so go and bother someone else "she pout me and her had fun in the past but the past two years my wolf and me were no in the mood for one night stands but I a alpha who is hasn't found a mate yet even though my has which sucks and top of that some the shipment haven't come in which frustrating we need that shipment of food and clothes Vanessa and high pitch voice whined again it was really getting on my nerves when I was about yell at Vanessa to get out the door open and saw my sister Ella running in I asked "what wrong sis? And Vanessa get out and shut the door "Vanessa walked out and pouting about it she was panting for breath "my kids haven't been back yet for lunch it's three hours over they said they will be back from their kayaking adventure I see a storm coming I worried but they must have gotten lost or maybe one of them got hurt "oh no that not good walk over to my sister and hugged her then pulled back looked her in the eyes "I will find them don't worry before the storm okay "she nodded I mind linked 5 of my guys ask to help in the search for my three cousins it was split up into two groups one takes one side of the island other take the other side of Moonlight island the island is pretty small but big enough to hold a small town and and have extra space to run in the forest got on of the boat that was taking right side of the island after 30 minutes of searching I saw the kids kayak that looked like it was about to tip over hear Rosie crying Sammy saw use and waved the men got the kayak got the kids out I can smell something weird like old fish but then there was soft smell of vanilla and rain but it's barely their liked it but I can't put figure on it why I liked it I mind link the with the other group that we found them they can head home then with my sister telling her that her kids are okay went over to them "are you guy okay are hurt? What happened " Luck was the one who spoke first "uncle so we were kayaking around kind of got lost on one of the big rivers then we were try to figure out where to go then I saw a mermaid she was going to help us then we were attacked by some bad mermaids and started attacking us and the good mermaid then Rosie got thrown overboard but then the good mermaid saved her Rosie got scared and then the they were in a fight I saw the bad mermaids chasing the good mermaid away and and she was look like she bleeding a lot then we saw you uncle well you should know the rest "I nodded at him so we might have mermaid problem on our hands maybe they are the ones who making the shipment being delayed see the storm that will be on us some well your mother was very worried about you let's go home before the storm hit then we can get cleaned up and eat how's that sound good the kids cheered my men turn the ship around and head home
