"Ok. Where to start? I know..." I text to Oli, "When I was five I was coming home from the bus and herd yelling from inside my house. When I got on the porch and was about to go inside my mom opened the door before I did and came out then when she saw me said, 'Hey hunny. I love you alot and never forget that. I'm gonna spend the night at Grandma's tonight and I'll see you tomorrow afternoon. Ok?' I was confused on why she was going so I asked if I could come with her but she said no so, I just agreed." I finish.

"Then what happened?" Oli asks me taking only five seconds to write it.

"Well... When I went inside my dad was in his bedroom. He had the T.V. on extremely loud and was vacuuming so at first he didn't notice me and when he looked up and saw me it scared the mess out of him. He asked how long I'd been standing there and I told him not long then he got down on his knees and gave me a hug." I send the message not wanting to write to much in one text.

"Then he said that he loved me more than anything in the world. I said I loved him to. I shouldn't have." I text getting angry.

"What do you mean you shouldn't have?" Oli messages me but I can almost hear the confusion in his Voice.

"A few months later I saw mom on the porch crying and screaming at dad and some random women, who had a terrible look of shock on her face and was trying to apologise to mom. Right before the lady left she smacked dad on the face. That's when I walked up the driveway. 'hi baby girl. Why don't you go inside I'll be in there in a moment." My mom said I replied ok and went inside. She didn't come in until a hour later. Dad wasn't with her. When I asked where he was she reminded me that they both loved me a lot then told me that he left. I was extremely confused so I asked what she meant and she said that he was moving to New York. I never saw him agian." I send the message wanting to take back every moment I never spent crying for him. He was a jerk and that's all he'll ever be to me.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't know. Let me know if there's anything I can do. Anything." Oli texts back. "Didn't you say two people did it? You don't have to tell me." Oli adds.

"Yeah.... It feels good to tell someone though. Umm. The next year when I was six my mom died. I had to move in with my grandparents then found out that my grandma was very sick and died the year after that. Everything was back to back. I was destroyed. Then I met Penn and she was my only friend who was my friend because of me. Not because of pity. So now all I have are grandpa, Penn and now y'all. When I came here I was expecting a new life. That no one would know. But, I found much more and found out I can't leave my past behind. I just can't." I message back.

" Thanks for telling me. I'll delete our messages. The bell just rang. See you later?" Oli responds back.

" Yeah. Maybe. I'll see." I tell him Wondering where he's was planning on seeing me.

Just then Maddy and Ash walk in the door. "So, what have you done all day?" Maddy asks while throwing her book bag on the ground.

"Not much. Netflix. Cookie dough. Tacos. Texted Oli." I say simply.

"Sounds like the perfect day." Ash says plopping down on the couch beside me and grabbing a small piece of cookie dough. I laugh.

"What did y'all do?" I ask.

"Mainly doodled on my papers and half listened to teachers lecture us." Maddy says.
