The guilt that I carry
has taken its toll.
The body starts to feel restless.
I'm lost and uneasy.
This burdened state has started to consume me.
In distress, I call out to God.
His forgiveness and mercy, I plead.
Lord, break the chain
and set me free.
Lies were spread by the enemy,
that we don't deserve to be forgiven.
There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
His precious blood wiped away our sins.
A/N
The book of Romans 8:1 has given me inspiration for this poem. Everyone of us fall into sin. Always remember that a repentant heart will be given forgiveness by God.
