-Titus-

I closed the door behind us and I immediately rounded on Everest, her beautiful doe eyes had darkened slightly just before I kissed her.

"Mmm." She moaned beautifully. "You need to stop"

I stopped and smiled before placing my kisses elsewhere, her cheek, her jawline, her neck extraordinarily close to my mark. "Is that so My Everest."

Her eyes were closed and she let another moan spill from her lips before she took her bottom lip in between her teeth to keep her sounds in.

"Tell me, why must this Alpha stop kissing his wife?"

Her breath hitched as I had let my hand begin to bring the hem of her skirt up.

"I don't think I can get enough of you." She admitted in a seductively heavy panting sort of way.

It wasn't unexpected for freshly marked Weres to be hornier than usual. But Everest wasnt freshly marked...furthermore this amazing wife of mine was effecting my wolf...her wolf was somehow calling to him. And I couldn't help but act on her arousal.

"We've got some time before I send for our guests."

This time she kissed me and took hold of my hand. She led me to my desk chair and sat me down before she took it upon herself to straddle me and kiss me.

Just as she was about to unzip my pants we were interrupted in the form of a light knock.

She wore a cute face of worry mixed with embarrassment, I only smiled before I kissed her cute nose. I gave her perfect ass a pat indicating that I needed her to stand up. With a heavy sigh I readjusted my pants and closed my suit jacket before sounding for the person to enter.

Phyllis entered the office with a drink cart (eyes cast downward) "My Lord, My Lady...some refreshments for you and your guests."

I nodded, silently dismissing her.

"Goddess Titus, she knew exactly what we were in here doing." Everest sounded her face flushed red

I moved to her side once more, I couldn't help but touch her, I stroked her face and could feel her heated skin beneath my touch, "it's nothing to be embarrassed about...now come here," I grabbed a chair and placed it beside mine, "this will be your seat...until we can get you a much more suitable chair."

"This is fine." She said sweetly, "no need to cause a fuss."

"Well my father is having the hall redone, typically we would hold 'court' in there, plus you've got your own office so it's really no fuss."

"I don't know which one I want to ask about first...court Or the need to have my own office, I hardly see the purpose."

I shook my head, "while you will help me rule our pack on various matters, you will also be in charge of a great many thing as Luna's do, this my wife will entail you having your own space."

"And court?" She asked.

"It's just the term that's used when someone requests an audience with us, wether it's father, myself, you, or even Evan...people put in a written request to hold court with us for various things, marriages, alliances, property, squabbling packmembers, noisy neighbors..."

"And this is my life now." She sighed, "what if I'm no good at it?"

I chuckled. "It's not as hard as you think so long as you show a little common sense, some compassion when needed and a firm hand for others."

"I'm no good at firm hands." She admitted.

"Good thing I am, and I could use a little help with the compassionate side of things, do you think you could complete my rulings with that?"

She smiled and my own smile mirrored hers. I caressed her lovely face and I felt the  slightest current of 'tingles' vibrate between us throughout my touch.

The small action made me think of the first time I caressed Everest's face in our first meeting. The first time I felt the tingles. A signature trademark of Mates.

Here with Everest I knew it was probably a side effect due to her taking my mark so willingly, and on a full moon no less.

I began to think back to Maggie...I tried to remember the tingles before I mentally slammed a wall around that memory and pushed it out of the forefront of my mind, I kissed Everest's hair and took in her scent. I needed to stop comparing the two and live in the moment.

I needed to remind myself who I was with now.

My Everest.

Maggie had been what I wanted, but Everest was exactly what I needed.

I walked her over to her chair before taking my own seat I picked up cell phone and text Evan.

"How come you never text me?" She asked playfully.

"I'm never away long enough to garner a text."

She shrugged.

"Plus" I added as I put my cellphone down. "Texting is tedious and I only use it for work."

"What about sexting?" She smiled, a wicked glint in her eyes now.

"What?" I hadn't heard of this term but assumed it was some form of sexy text messaging. But before I could question her further a knock sounded once before I stood up, Everest mimicked my action and soon the door was opened as Evan led in the Pruitt's.

I nodded my head, dismissing Evan and then he exited, closing the door behind him. I went to greet the Pruitt's but I noticed their gaze was fixed on my Wife.

My wolf immediately took a defensive vibe as he felt the need to protect our Luna, and I could see that there was going to be some obvious awkwardness.

Of course they were probably seeing their daughters image shining through as I had the first time I encountered Everest.

But if they looked at her as I do now, they would see the two girls weren't so similar after all. They had their obvious differences and I loved Everest for all of hers.

Her wild curls, her large doe eyes, her beautifully pouty lips, her curvy hips.

I cleared my throat to both clear my head as well as the tense air around us.

I was expecting Alpha Pruitt to speak, maybe even apologize for the too long silence. But it was Luna Pruitt who spoke.

"You have no idea how long I've waited to see you."
