I didn't remember
The feeling of being loved,
Feeling to be put first after the family,
Till I get to know you.
I like it
when I lay on your chest
Because I can hear your heartbeat.
Ours sync. Yours and mine.
No matter how hard things get,
You told me to stay strong.
Even when I was in my bluest day,
You're there to tell me things going to be okay.
Despite all the barking and cacophony,
You still managed to calm me down.
It's a lie if I tell you
I'm not hurt by all these catastrophes.
I know people despise us being together,
You told me no matter how people think of us
You'll still love me endlessly,
That scared me.
We might hurt others in the process,
Your friends,
My friends,
Our families.
God knows how I really want
Our friends to accept the fact
That we're actually together,
Without even questioning.
But..... It wasn't that simple.
