Vanessa started to pack up her and Luna's stuff early in the morning, while Jackson was still sleep. She and Luna were going to stay at a hotel for a couple of days, just so she could take a breather and reflect on everything.
She thought she could go on forever with hiding the fact that she knew about what went down, but she just couldn't take it anymore.
"What are you doing?" A sleepy Jackson asked.
Vanessa ignored him as she threw the last of her things into her bag. She packed all of Luna's stuff first, so all she had to do was grab Luna and leave.
She put her bag over her shoulder before leaving out the room and went into Luna's.
Jackson followed behind her, trying to stop her.
Since Luna was sleeping, she picked her up softly, placing her in her car seat before strapping her in.
She picked up her car seat, but Jackson put his hand over hers, stopping her.
"Why can't we work this out?"
"I need time to process everything, Jack."
Vanessa never called him Jack, unless she really wasn't feeling him at the moment.
"You had time to process it. You said you knew about it since it happened. I'm not letting you leave with her." He said through his teeth.
"Why don't you go talk to my sister and y'all go try to keep some more secrets from me. I'm leaving and I'm taking my daughter with me and at this point who knows if I'm coming back." She said lowly.
She walked around him and made it outside, with Jackson quickly on her heels.
He let her place Luna in the car and the bags also, but stopped her before she could get in.
"Can I do or say anything to change your mind?" He placed his hands on her waist, trying to pull her closer, but she resisted.
She placed her hands on his chest, pushing him away from her.
"Just let me go."
"Promise me you'll come back. I love you so much and I know I had the wrong intentions when I met you, but I fell in love you, Vanessa. You are my wife and the mother of my child."
"Jackson-."
"No, just listen to me. I married you for a reason. I have no feelings whatsoever for your sister. You are the one for me, do you understand?"
Jackson wiped away the few tears that fell from her eyes.
"Promise me you'll be back."
Vanessa nodded instead of using words before getting in her car and driving off, leaving Jackson in the distance.
Jackson decided not to go to work today, he instead invited his friends over, for some classic bonding time. He needed something to take his mind off everything.
Mark, Jinyoung, and Youngjae arrived a little later, expecting to be greeted with the Jackson they knew and love, but instead they were met with a Jackson who looked like he was on the verge of tears.
"What's going on?" Youngjae asked.
They all sat in the living room, drinking some type of hard beverage.
"Vanessa took Luna and left."
"What? Why?" Mark asked at the edge of his seat
Jackson took a deep breath, "A couple months ago, Stacy-"
"Your assistant?" Mark spoke.
"Yea, she's Vanessa's sister."
"What?" Youngjae asked in disbelief.
"Yea, I never said anything because just in case anyone found out about what I'm about to tell you, she didn't want any ties to Vanessa."
"What happened, Jackson?" Jinyoung spoke.
Jackson explained the situation to them and everything that happened with Vanessa.
"Woah! That's some crazy shit." Mark said in shock.
"So, you're absolutely sure that you have no feelings whatsoever for Vanessa's sister?" Youngjae asked.
"Of course, I'm sure. I love Vanessa. I just- I just messed up awhile back."
"You should just give her some time. Now that everything is out in the open and no one has to keep the secret anymore, things will start to go back to normal." Jinyoung tried to comfort him.
Little did he know, Vanessa was about to make the situation worse.
"Vanessa? I mean Mrs. Wang, what can I do for you?" Stacy sat behind her desk, literally shaking in her boots.
Vanessa had dropped Luna off with Jackson's parents for this very moment.
"I need to talk to you. Let's go outside, Stacy."
She got out her chair hesitantly and walked around the desk. When they made it outside, Vanessa turned to her and eyed her up and down before back slapping her.
Stacy held onto her cheek, "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?"
Vanessa took a deep breath and smiled, "next time you wanna go and stab me in the back, make sure it doesn't involve my husband."
"What do you mean?" She said still holding her cheek.
"I know you have feelings for him and the fact that you had the audacity to tell him, thinking something was gonna happen between you guys, makes me sick. As of now, you're fired and don't come around my family again."
"You wouldn't have a family if I had liked him back then." She snarled.
Vanessa chuckled bitterly and before going back to her car, "stupid bitch." She mumbled under her breath.
Jackson and the boys were still hanging out, unaware of what was going on in front of their office.
"Jinyoung, What happened the night of the charity event?" Jackson asked.
"I don't wanna talk about it. At least not right now, okay?"
The three of them nodded.
Jackson was about to speak, but then the phone rang.
"Hello?" He answered.
"Jackson, it's Stacy." She was in tears.
"What happened?"
"Vanessa, she came down here and slapped me around and fired me. How did she find out?"
He turned around and mouthed that he'll be back before going into another room.
"She overheard the day it happened. We got into this huge fight last night and the truth came out, Stacy."
The other end of the line was silent, so Jackson spoke again, "I'm sorry she put her hands on you."
"Yea well as far as I know, she went easy on me. Am I fired though?"
"I think it's for the best."
He didn't let her respond and hung up. He silently freaked out and punched the air. So much has happened and it hasn't even been 24 hours yet.
Vanessa and Jackson have never been through something as bad as this and honestly, neither of them knew if they were going to move passed it.
