It all began late in august. The air was cold, the ECBUH frolicked through the streets of the small village. It was almost time for the selecting of the next sacrifice to the ECBUH. Everyone ran to the small church at the center of our town, carrying their infants with them. The ECBUH examined each infant carefully before choosing two twin girls. This was the first time two children had ever been chosen
You may be wondering what is going on. Well, I'll tell you. The ECBUH is a rabid beast that watches over our town. A sacrifice must be made to the ECBUH ever eighteen years, so the day before the sacrifice, an infant is chosen to be taken by the ECBUH by the time they turn eighteen. Nobody knows what happens to them, for nobody is brave enough to follow it. Over the years the villagers forgot the exact reason for the sacrifices, but were too scared to stop doing the in fear of what might happen. Could the thing go berserk and destroy the village or was it harmless? Either way, fear of the unknown still plagued the village.
