Phun was dying.

It was obvious by the way his already pale skin grew more ashen with every passing second. The blood seeping from his gut soaked through his clothes, creating a crimson puddle. My hands frantically rubbed down his body trying to stop the awful flow. The tears that threatened to tumbled down flowed with no restraints. I tried to blink them away but they wouldn't be stopped.

My heart ached as Phun reached a shaky hand up, laying it against my cheek. His thumb whipped away the tears that ran freely. I squeezed my eyes closed, willing my emotions down. I couldn't let them take control. What good would it do Phun if I let the panic in? None. Steadying my breathing' I reopened my eyes, meeting his eyes. They were almost completely dull. No sparkle. No life. Phun gave me a small smile. I tried to smile back but my lips wouldn't turn up the way I wanted. They just quivered. I had to bite down to stop the motion. A whimper bubbled against my throat. My own hands lightly and trembling going to either side of his cheek. I brought my forehead up against his.

Phun was dying. And it was breaking my heart. We never got the chance to start. I never got to tell him how I felt. I couldn't let him go, not like this. There was something I could do. There had to be.

"He needs blood," a soft feminine voice stated. My head shot back, jerking to the side. A girl with eyes as dark as Phun's stood a few feet away. "Blood," she repeated with a pointed look at me.

I know that! But where am I going to—

Blood, the one thing I do have. The one thing that I could do to save him. I quickly turned back to Phun. His eyes were narrowing and shadows were taking over his face. I pulled up close to me.

"Phun, take my blood," I demanded. The dying vampire looked at me weakly and shook his head.

"Noh I can't," his voice cracked with every word. My heart clenched.

"Please." My watery voice shook. Tears cascading down my face. "I don't... I can't lose you." My hands gripped his face tighter bring him closer to me.

"What if I can't stop?"

I placed a gentle kiss on his lips before baring my neck to him. "I trust you," I breathed out before closing my eyes.

I felt him hesitate. The blood at my nape pulsed rapidly as if beckoning him closer. And then I felt his teeth graze my soft skin. His tongue shot out. It swiped across my skin, igniting me. My skin tingled and my breath hitched as his canines sunk into me. It was defiantly a feeling I've never experienced before. I don't really know how to describe it. It was painful but pleasurable. It sent my body in overdrive and I didn't want him to stop. My body, with a mind of its own, rubbed against Phun, wanting some sort of friction. The vampire circled my waist, stalling my movements but bringing my closer. I moaned. My head started to feel light and airy. My breathing grew shallow. I could feel my blood being sucked dry. I didn't care though. I needed him to continue, to never stop.

"Phun," I groaned out his name before my mind went white and I fell into unconsciousness.

The first thing my mind registered was how warm and fluffy my body felt. I had no clue where I was or how I'd gotten there but at that point in time I didn't care. I was way to comfortable. I snuggled deeper into what ever I was laying in. The second thing that registered was a girly giggle. My eyes flung open and my body flinched into a sitting position. I hissed out a groan as my body protested the quick movement. Pain shot through my sore body. I doubled over, my eyes closing tightly. Whoever it was giggled again. I peeked an eye open, scanning the room the best I could.
