Chapter 21

Once we had finished running, we finally headed up the stairs and got outside before seeing Savannah, surrounded by several different people, including Aleister. She was standing between some trees and I began to take a look around me, trying to find some way to save Savannah before I caught sight of the pipes and said...

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" I asked Elena.

"Let's do this," Elena said before we rushed over to pipes.

Once we got there, we began to get our plan together and blow up this place. After we did this, Elena and I walked over to Savannah and Aleister before saying...

"Hey! Give us the girl!" I yelled.

"We want Savannah. Now!" Elena yelled before a part of the place blew up.

Just then, Aleister grabbed Savannah and began to run with Elena and I followed behind. It was like a cat and mouse chase and this time, we weren't going to lose. We began to run through several rooms in the building until we finally found Savannah in the main room, that we had been in too many times before Elena said...

"Savannah, we have to go," Elena said.

"Sorry girls, I tried to resist but he's too strong," Savannah said.

"He didn't do the spell. He didn't kill all of the witches, we can go," I said.

"Oh, I can't. I have to stay. They don't love me, they want to control me," Savannah said.

"You don't have to do anything. Okay just, come with us. We'll get out of here okay?" I asked.

"Savannah, you know you aren't going anywhere," Aleister said.

Elena and I then saw Savannah scratching her arm before Aleister said...

"Fight till the end, I'm impressed. I wish I could have spent more time with both of you. I have everything I need from both of you, I don't understand why you both would care so much about these witches. Not long ago, you didn't even know they existed," Aleister explained.

"We're not leaving here without her," Elena said.

"That's too bad, this is how it ends for both of you," Aleister said.

He then used his magic to smash the window before aiming it at us. I then turned and saw Paige run in front of us and stopping the glass from coming at us before making it turn into dust.

"Paige," Savannah said.

"Run Savannah, go!" Paige ordered as we got up.

"Paige. I'm glad it's you, we never got the chance to know each other," Aleister said to her.

"I don't want to know you," Paige said.

"That's no way to talk to your big brother," Aleister said.

"No. It's not possible," Paige said.

"Ruth Winterbourne had a son; me," Aleister said.

"You're lying," Paige said.

"But she didn't want me, but now she'll know the pain of losing the child she did want," Aleister said.

Elena and I got ready to lunge at him before he said...

"Careful. You come at me and she may get hurt," Aleister said, referring to Savannah.

"Savannah, he doesn't have any power over you. No one can control you," I said.

"Show them who you trust Savannah. I am the lock. Savannah, I am the lock," Aleister said.

"We are your friends," Elena said, holding out her hand and offering it to Savannah.

Savannah then accepted it and we quickly hugged her before Paige screamed at Aleister, using her magic on him and making him disappear. Once this happened, Paige and Savannah hugged before Savannah said...

"Paige," Savannah said as they let go.

"It's okay Savannah," I said.

"Where did you send Aleister?" Savannah asked.

"I'm not sure," Paige answered.

After she said this, Elena and I took Savannah out of the building before we headed out and walked towards the cars.

"Are you okay?" Elena asked Savannah.

"Yeah," Savannah answered before we helped get her in one of the cars.

She then sat down before Savannah said...

"You both kept your promises," Savannah said.

"We don't like letting our friends down," I said.

"Elena, Kat, can we stay friends? I don't mean texting each other every now and then, I mean we can actually see each other," Savannah said.

"I'd like that," Elena said.

"Me too," I said.

We then smiled before Elena closed the car and got ready to get in the car until all of a sudden, I heard someone call my name...

"Kat!" someone yelled.

I immediately turned and saw Nick rushing across the field towards me.

"Nick!" I yelled.

I then began to run towards him. We continued to do this for some time before we finally embraced. Once we embraced, we let go for a moment before Nick said...

"You're okay. I mean you're really okay," Nick said, looking at me for a moment before smiling.

"Yeah I'm okay. I've had the worst couple of days though," I said before smiling.

We then held each other some more before we kissed for a long time and then finally let go of one another.

"Take me home," I said.

"Yeah, I can do that," Nick said before he walked me to his car before we both got in.

Once we did this, Nick finally drove off and finally headed back home...
