After finally returning home from their last show, they still haven't announced their pregnancy. The only people who knew were of course their friends, immediate family and themselves.
Since Ally was almost 13 weeks.. she could have her first ultrasound. It's a bit late, yes, but they wanted to wait till they got back home to do everything.
" god I'm so nervous" she said
" me too, but remember what I said calm down" he said " don't add any stress, any unnecessary stress can add stress to the baby.. too much stress" he said
" yea, you don't say.. you said stress like 4 times, and you've been reading the baby books again" she said
" yea, because I don't want to be clueless, I wanna know everything you're going through right now, like did you know the baby has little toes and fingers and he can open and shut them" he said excitedly
" yes, I know that! Haha, how are you so sure it's a He? For all you know it could be a girl!" She said
" speaking are you still on not finding out the sex?" He asked " because I wanna know"
" I do too, I just want it to be special." She said " I think being surprised makes it more fun!"
" Ally, don't you wanna be prepared, I know how you like to be.. we'll have the room ready, clothes,toys, the name, everything.. doing those stuff is more fun when you know what it is" he said
" I know.." she said " I mean let's make it fun like do a whole reveal thing, I couldn't possibly wait till the baby was born"
" oh.. phew!" He said smiling " well let's go to the doctor okay?"
The Californian sun was warm and bright
Since moving to La, It made it easier for work.. they didn't imagine they'd be raising a baby away from home.. away from Florida.
In the car he kept the windows down in order to ease her motion sickness
" ugh.. this shit sucks" she said " I'd like to go through a day with out wanting to puke my brains out.. at least it's warm out today first warm day of the year.."
" so what are we finding out today.." he asked
" first the due date, how big the baby is, Hear the heart beat and then I guess get a bunch of pictures we can share" she said
" cool" he said

At the doctors they waited a while for their turn
Until the place was empty
Once called in, Ally was instructed to change into a gown
This made it so much more real, besides all the pictures on the wall and all the medical Instruments, the gown made it so much more real.
" hey! Austin! Don't touch anything" she said
" what these looks so cool.." he said touching a model
" that's a uterus." She said
" ew gross" he said putting it down
" you're such a kid.. a kid having a kid.." she rolled her eyes
" it's like you're having two kids" he said
" shut up and sit by me" She said holding out her hand
The doctor came in and introduced himself
He turned on the monitor and placed the Doppler on her stomach
She was fascinated, while he on the other hand was confused
" you see that's the little fingers and toes.." the doctor said
" that's so cute.. look austin" she said
" I don't see anything." He said
" look closer" she said
" Ohhh" He said " wow that's really small."
" everything looks normal, and it looks like you're having a mid September baby.. September 18th" the doctor said
" a September baby.. how cute" ally said
" okay now for the heart beat"
* thump.. thump* the beats went
" woah" Austin said " oh my God.."
" I know.." she said smiling at him " the best sound ever"
" I wanna listen to it all day.." he said
" me too" she said
" we can have it recorded for you if you like" the doctor said
" yes!" They both said with our hesitation

That night back at home all the could listen to was to the heart beat of their baby.
" wow.. I'm literally obsessed" he said
" me too" she said
She wiped her tear " this so strange.. why do I keep crying"
He laughed " I mean you're a mom.. moms are supposed to cry at everything their kids do"
" I'm a mom.." she said
" yea.. more like a mommy" he said " and I'm daddy by the way, our children are never allowed to call us mom and dad.. we're mommy and daddy.."
" oh yes, I agree!" She said nodding
They both laughed
He touched her belly and kissed it as he did every day..
..
Late at night randomly while in bed
She felt an unusual sensation
" hmm.." she said " what the"
She felt it again
And then again
" Austin! Austin! Hey! Wake up!" She said
" what?" He asked waking up
" the baby moving! It's kicking! Look feel" she said taking his hand
It took awhile, but then when the baby kicked he was just as happy as she was
" woah.. my son is a kicker!" He said
" I️ know! And stop calling the baby a boy!! We don't know what it is!" She said
" my daughters a kicker?" He corrected
She shook her head.. " don't say that either"
" it's weird to say it.. work with me" he said
" good night" she said
" alright good night" he said spooning her
He put his hand on her belly holding her close
