The coolness of the gel on my stomach tickled a little ." Let's see if we can find a heartbeat ." The doctor states as he glides the device over my stomach causing a loud sound to fill the air. " Is that my child's heartbeat ?" He nods as he glances at the screen studying it carefully ." It seems like everything is going well. You do need to drink more water though. It seems your uterus is low on fluid.

I want you to drink more and take it easy " I nod as he wipes the gel off then tosses the paper towel away. I pull my shirt back down and zip up my pants. " Thank you again for checking me ." Your welcome Katie ."

I walked outside enjoying the warmth of the sun. I passed Maggie on her way for her checkup. She waved at me as I walked down the path ." How is the baby?" She asked as she walked up to me ." He said I need to drink more water but that the baby is healthy ." Good, I am glad. Have you and Rick made up yet ?" I looked down the brought my head back up crossing my arms over chest ." Nope. I understand why he is doing this, but I am still angry with him ." Maggie squinted her eyes furrowing her brows ." I know he doesn't want to hurt you. He just wants this to be over. We all do ."

I shuffled my feet kicking a rock on the ground ." I can't just pretend that I am okay with him killing him!" I yelled as tears formed in my eyes ." He actually told me he wanted to end this whole thing too. He was willing to make a deal with Rick, but now I have no idea what he is doing. "

Maggie pulls me in for hug comforting me ." If he was willing to make a deal before, then he will do it now. He loves you, I may hate him, but I know he loves you ."

She pulls away leaving me to think of her words. I walk back to my house seeing Michone standing by my door ." We need to talk ."

We walked inside and I headed for my fridge ." Do you want a drink ?" She waves her hand ." No, I am okay ." I grabbed a bottle of water and sat down across from her ." Rick will be leaving here to make a deal with Jadis. "

I bought the water bottle to my lips sipping the cool liquid ." I thought she betrayed him?" Michone claps her hands together placing them on the table ." She did, but we lost men from the kingdom so we need her help. The reason I am telling you this,s because most of the men are leaving with him.

It will be easy for you to escape. I will sneak you out tonight. I have a car hidden in the woods ready to take you to the sanctuary. I hope you can convince Negan to make a deal. "

" Thank you for helping me. I know it must feel like your doing the wrong thing but trust me it's not ." I just hope I don't regret this. Rick will be pissed when he's back. "

I placed my hand on hers ." I will do everything I can to avoid any deaths. I promise you ."

Michone sucked in a breathe then released my band " You better ." We both laughed as she got up from her chair ." I will see you tonight. I want you to meet me at the gate at midnight ."

" I will be there ." She walks out the door leaving me feeling anxious. I shut my door and decided it was time to gather some things.

I gathered some clothes and bottles of water. I then was exhausted so I decided to take a nap. I slept for a couple of hours then made some dinner. I just finished making the fried chicken as my brothers walked in. " Hey guys, I have dinner made."

They smile as they wash their hands and sit down. " Here you go. " I set the plates down then sat down ." Katie, this is good ." Caleb says as he takes a small bite of chicken ." Thank you, sweetie ." Katie, can you stay here ?" Gabriel asks as he scoops some mashed potatoes in his mouth.

I dropped my spoon shocked he asked me that ." I wish I could. If I stayed people could get hurt. I want to be here with you but Negan won't like it ." Why ?" They both ask ." He wants me to be with him at his house ." Why can't he live here ?" Rick and Negan don't like each other ." Oh! "

They both kept quiet after that then headed for bed. I hated the fact I can't be with them. It tears me up inside that they live without me. Maybe I can change that, but I don't know how?

I walk to their rooms making sure they both bathed and brushed their teeth.

" Good night sweetheart.

I kissed Caleb's forehead caressing his forehead ."Goodnight Katie ." I walked into Gabriel's room kissing him goodnight as well. " I love you, Katie ." I love you too." I closed his door and went to take a shower. I need to wash my worries away.
