Chapter 22

It was the day before my auditon and everyone in school knew about it as Ross put it online so im getting all the 'good lucks' or 'knock them over' and such. To be honest its making me even more nervous,

I got home from school and Tina and Olive had dinner with us but i didnt say much "are you okay sweetie?" Tina asked as i walked them to her car "just nervous!" i said truthfully and she gave me one of her warm smiles,

"sweetie you will do great, i know its scary going infront of all those people and singing but its what you enjoy and you just have to enjoy doing it~!" she said and i smiled "thanks sweetie!" i said and kissed her lightly,

"bye Jo, you'll do great!2 Olive said and i picked her up "i hope so kiddo!" i said and she smiled "if not i'll get monkey to use his super-powers to make them like you!" she said holding up her monkey making me smile "thanks kiddo!" i said kissing her forehead,

I waved them of and went in for the night.

I got in from my auodition with my mum and Kate "how did it go?" Jake asked and i looked at him "you know what watch it on TV tonight!" i said and he frowned "please Jo!" he whinned as i went upstairs to put my guitar away "no!" i yelled and went in my room,

My mum called us down for dinner and we were eating it in the living room so we could watch me on TV "im so excited!" dad said and i nodded eating some chicken curry. The show titles came on and we all watched the TV,

I got to see some acts and some were good some were bad. The first ad break came on and everyone was wanting to see me "why wont they show you yet!" Jake whinned and i shrugged. The show came back on and there was a dog act and a clown act before the next ad break,

"after this break the golden buzzer is pressed!" the producer says and then the ads come on. Let me explain the buzzer, the judges get to push a golden buzzer for one act and they get sent straight to the semi-finals,

"i wonder who it is?" Jake asks "i hope it isnt a dance act, theres been to many of them!" dad said and mum and Kate glance at me as i slump in my chair. The show comes back on and its my turn,

I cringe as i walk onto stage and as the audience clap "hi there!" Michael a judge say and i smile "hey!" i said and the people that recognise my Alabama accent cheer "Alabama right?" George asks and i nodded,

"great, so what you doing for us?" he asks and i smiled "singing!" i said and they nod "and whats your name?" Lucy asks and i smile "Jo Crossman!" i said and they smile,

I was walking away,

But she's so beautiful it made me stay

I don't know her name,

But I'm hoping she might feel the same

So here I go again,

 The audience gave me a standing ovation while the judges talked with one another. I was a bit breathless as i had put my heart and soul into that song. They all nodded and turned to me with smiles on there faces,

"Jo that was just amazing!" George says and i smiled "thanks!" i said and they all nodded "so this is our response!" they say all standing and i raise an eyebrow then all four of them push the button at once,

The crowd erruptsin cheers and clapping as gold confettie pours ontop of me "shit..." i trail of making some laugh "see you in the sem-final Jo!" Mark says, i wave at them and walk of stage.

The show moves onto the next act and i felt my families eyes on me so i slumped on the couch. I was pounced on a hug as dad and Jake hugged me, i felt mum and Kate join in and i laughed as it was tickeling me,

My phone beeped twice and i saw it was Ross and Tina. I opened Ross' first,

'Oh my god my baby is in the semi-final, i love you so much-R' i texted him back saying thanks and opened Tina's up,

'Well done sweetheart, i love you so much!' i smiled and sent her something back.

I went to bed as my family kept asking questions. I wasnt actually tired so i went on Facebook, big mistake. All my friends saw i was online and i was bombarded with messages on congratualtions.

I got sick of them all so i switched my laptop off and went to bed for the night
