Val
I had been ignoring Dante's calls for a full day now. I wasn't ready to speak with him again yet. I didn't read his messages or listen to his voicemails. I was just enjoying my time with Dino. Of course I couldn't help but feel a little guilty.
Dino slapped my ass breaking my train of thought.
"You're supposed to be getting ready mi amor," he said. I giggled and got up to grab my clothes.
"Ya know Val....these last couple days feel like years. We didn't miss a beat. Honestly you should have been mine long before this," he said coming up behind me. He traced small kisses down the back of my neck making me shiver. Just as I was about to turn and kiss him I heard the doorbell.
I snatched my clothes and put them on and walked down to the door. I opened it to see Dante standing there. He looked horrible as if he had been up a few days.
"Val I have to talk to you," he said as Dino walked up beside me.
Damien
I sniffed another line of coke to ease my mind. I had gone through the bag pretty quickly but I couldn't erase this bitch from my mind. Valorie fucked up my life. She turned everybody against me. I lost every mf thing fucking with that ungrateful bitch.
I poured myself a glass of Jack Daniels and dialed Dante up. It rang twice and went to voicemail.
I called again this time he answered.
Dante: What?
Damien: Where is she?
Dante: Who?
Damien: Valerie!!! Where is she?
I hear a voice talking softly in the background. I knew it was her.
Dante: I don't fuckin know Damien.
He hung up the phone. I was becoming more and more fucking angry. I threw my glass at the wall.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! I screamed out. I need to find this bitch and make her pay!!! Where the fuck could she be?
It dawned on me right then. Her emergency contact information. I ran to my office and immediately started going through my files. I came to her file and opened it. Bam there it was her parents names, phone numbers, and address. Bingo!!!
I ran to my basement and grabbed my knife and gun and ran out to my truck. I smell revenge!!!!
~A Few Hours Later
Dante
It took a lot of convincing for Val to talk to me. She moved on pretty fast with this nigga Dino. I guess we just really ain't meant to be.
I sat and explained the whole situation to Val. We were now sitting here just looking at each other. Nobody knew what to say.
"Dante...this is heavy. What is wrong with Damien? I can't even process this....and you...you killed your Uncle Danny? Jesus Christ," she said trembling.
"I didn't kill him but I had him killed. I was trying to kill my father for what he did to us," I said.
I felt my eyes watering up.
"You're going to turn me in huh Val? I gotta face the music,"I said in tears.
She grabbed my face with hands cold as ice even in the warm sun. She formed a slight smile and said "no."
"No I'm not and no you don't. Get out of here before anything happens or anyone finds you. I'll help you get away just go Dante," she said barely above a whisper.
Val loves me and I'll always love her but she was right. I gotta get out of this. My dad will find out what I did and I'll be dead. Even worse he might come after her. I didn't even tell her he was looking for her.
"You right Vee. Listen you might need to come with me," I said grabbing her hands.
She pulled away from me.
"Dante I can't do that. Me and Dino," she paused. "I just can't go," she said.
"Ya'll together now? You moved on and it's like anybody but me. Did I hurt you that bad? You really just said fuck me? We both have done some fucked up shit but in reality you all I got."
She looked at me again. "We're taking it slow but it doesn't matter," she said.
I pulled her towards me and looked her dead in the eye. "My dad is after you now. Earlier when I got that call...it was him and he sounded mad as a mf," I said.
She rolled her eyes at me.
"Oh please he doesn't know where I am."
I grabbed her hands tight. "I can't believe I'm about to say this shit. Bring Dino let's all just get the fuck out of here for a minute."
She smiled a bit but it turned into a frown. "This is too much. All of this shit is like a bad movie. Every since I met Damien shit just got worse and worse. I'm not running. I'm staying here and you can stay in the guesthouse tonight. Tomorrow we'll work on getting you out of here," she said getting out of her seat and walking into her parents house. I followed behind her. Just then her cell rang.
She turned towards me and looked a bit scared but still grabbed the phone from her bag. She sighed in relief once she saw the screen.
"It's Dino," she said before answering it. I walked towards the door about to walk out and hit a cig. I was on edge so bad. I looked ahead of me and saw a black car. I stepped outside to get a closer look and realized it was my dads car. He wasn't in the car though. I locked the door and ran over to Val.
I whispered as low as I could. "Val hang up and go hide and call the cops. He's here. The color left her face and I could tell she was scared.
I could hear Dino saying hello as she hung up. "Go hide or if there's a way out of here take it. Be careful. I love you," I said kissing her forehead.
She turned to run down the hallway but ran right into Damien. He was already inside the house.
"Well, well, well. Looks like I'll get to kill 2 birds with one stone today", he said while giving us this sinister laugh.
