Chapter Twenty Three:Calm before the storm

Akane's POV

"Neon! Over here!"I called

I spotted Neon wearing purple bathing suit covered with a white jacket.

We both greeted each other along with my two colleagues which where Basho and Melody.

"Long time no see Akane Killua "Basho greeted us

Neon glance at the swimsuit that I was wearing.

"Hey, something the matter?"I asked her. Gloomy aura surrounded her

"It's nothing...it's just that you are growing more in the right places"Neon pouted at me.

The boys other than Killua seems to blush on Neon's response.

"Try drinking milk, it helps"Bisky-sensei answered followed by Kurapika wearing blue floral shirt, brown shorts and a pair of flip flops differ to his clothes.

"Hey, what took you so long?"I asked

"Leorio forgot his bag from the car"Kurapika replied

"So who's wanna go swimming?!"I excitedly said

"Before that lets find a spot since the beach would soon be crowded"Melody interjected

Finding the perfect spot in the beach wasn't bad as I hope for.

"Hey how about that spot over there? The place is secluded no one can see us"Killua pointed out

We went our way. Basho and Leorio placed the picnic matts and Melody placed a big picnic basket that I didn't realize was there.

I place on the big beach umbrella that Leorio handed me. I am quite excited as it is that I literally been smiling on our spot.

"Let's go swimming!!!"Neon shouted running towards the beach wearing her swim wear followed by Gon and Killua.

"Hey what you reading?"Kurapika suddenly asked as I lean my head to his shoulder.

"J.K Rowling's Harry Potter:The Prisoner of Azkaban"I responded to him placing a bookmark on chapter 4

"Aren't you going to swim?"I ask hin as he intertwine his hand to mine, like a perfect fit in a puzzle.

I blush on that thought.

Though this romantic moment was cut short when I felt another pain from the back of my neck.

"Something wrong?"Kurapika asked cutting through my train of thoughts.

"Nothings wrong, just admiring the beach scenery"I replied back closing the book I'm reading

"Ne why don't we go swiming?"I offered. He nooded in agreement.

Since I was wearing my swim wear, I simply tie my platinum white hair in a single braid tied with violet rose hair tie.

I was about to check on Kurapika who is shirtless revealing his well tone body. He wasn't muscular but he has the right amount of muscles in their right plplaces.

I couldn't keep myself from looking at him blushing furiously.

"Let's go"Kurapika said holding my right hand.

We stand up and walk our way to the shore of the beach.

"EHHHH AKANE ARE YOU AND KURAPIKA AN ITEM?!!"Neon particularly shouted

I was blushing the whole time that I didn't answer Neon's outburst..

I took a small glance Kurapika who's cheeks where tint of pink hue knowing that he's blushing. Completely ignoring Neon's earlier outburst, I pulled Kurapika to the salty water of the beach.
