It was a very dreary morning. Not much was happening. Cuppa was on her way to her new school, she walked everyday from her house, took the train and voila! But since she was a very intelegent student, he partners decided to leave her on her own. She lived in a small apartment by herself on the top of the hill. Everyday felt amazing for her! But this day felt different though.. something felt odd but she couldn't put her mind to it. It was her first day at this new school anyways.. "Hasberry Highschool" was the name. ————
Throughout the day she was able to find all of her classes on time, and she even managed to join a club! Time passed and it was almost time to go. Being the new student, everyone had eyes on her. Why? Maybe becuase she's pretty! Or maybe she looks different than the other girls. Once she exited her last class, she made her way to the back of the school where the exit for the students were. Cuppa looked around her and noticed almost everyone was with their friends. They were all in bundles of groups everywhere! She overheard a passing conversation; "Hey can we come over to your house today!" "Ehh.. sorry my parents are going out.. I have to watch my little sister" "oh come on! Were your friends !" She giggled at the kids. "Yeah!!" The other one yelled. Cuppa sighed and trugged on. Sooner or later she was nearing the train station when she heard a loud scream coming from behind her. She quickly turned around in confusion but saw nothing. She had some time before the train arrived so she decided to go follow the sound which led her behind a convenient store. Her eyes widened when she saw what was happening and quickly started to run towards it. A group of boys who was bullying another kid spotted cuppa and ran away before she made it close to them. "HEY COME BACK HERE!!" She yelled and stopped next to the smaller kid. She sighed watching the older boys run away, and turned to the kid. "Hey are you okay?" She bent down and put a hand on his shoulder which made him jolt back. She tilted her head back in confusion which made her notice it was a boy, around her age. Covered in bruises and tears. He had brown hair which fell to one side and brown eyes which were deepened with red. She could feel him start to shake a little. "What do you want from me.. ?" The boy asked in a raspy voice. "I just want to make sure your alright..! Those boys could of done some good harm to you. I'm glad I came in time" she smiled at him. The boy looked down at his feet quietly, almost wanting to tell her to leave him alone, but moved in a way to tell her he was going to stand up which made cuppa get up and lend a hand out for him. "So what's your name?" She asked. The boy looked up at her shocked almost, and took her hand. "I'm toby.. toby rogers." He said standing up. "Toby.. huh? That's a nice name! I'm Cuppa!" Toby wiped his face from the tears and put his jacket hoodie up to hide his face. "Your name is cool too.." he whispered. Cuppa smiled in return and quickly checked her watch. "Oh shoot! I gotta catch the train!" She exclaimed. "You take the train..? I do too" toby also looked at her watch. "But mine comes later.." "Oh.. I'm sorry... well, do you want to walk with me to the station?" She offered. Toby thought for a moment before nodding. Cuppa quickly grabbed his hand and took him to the train station. "Come on come on!" ———
When they got there the train was now coming in. "Right on time!" She let go of Toby's hand and turned to him. "Well.. it was nice to meet you Toby!" "You t-" but before toby could finish his sentence he was pulled in for a hug. Unsure what to do, he stood there in silence. "Uh.. t-thanks.." he mumbled over tThe speakers that suddenly came on "Train to Ginsburg is now here. Please watch your step when entering the train." The voice said. "Goodbye!" Toby looked up to see cuppa waving at him from inside the train. "Goodbye.."
