What is a Daesang (대상)?
The Daesang award is one of the highest achievements a Korean music group or artist can achieve. The translation is "grand prize" and winning a Daesang correlates to physical and digital sales of songs and albums. It is awarded at the many prominent Korean music award shows such as the following (in no particular order or prestige).
